after the figma Haruhi seems like another company is trying to challenge action figure using Haruhi!!!
Deng lah this is Hotlinking ok?

It is frm a magazine scan, from the joint on the hand it looks like the Bandai one, but i am still not sure who got info pls share.
*
This is getting silly. First it's Kotobukiya and Alter releasing the same PVC figure on the month, now this?

Also, anyone here who had their Figma Haruhi ever tried to change the shoes? I find it nearly impossible to pull the shoes out from the foot joints.

firedauz: how did you ended up being in Japan again..? Study/work?

LOL.. why is every company now venture into harem action figure?.. XD

Because Kaiyodo proved that budget action figures really sells? Not to mention the production quality of the Figma line is really amazing.

However, figma's price is lil bit expensive than revoltech

┐( ¯3¯)┌
380yen isn't that much of a difference (Revoltechs = 1900yen, Figma = 2375yen)

Well, the difference is about RM 10++. That's why most figma sold here are priced close to, if not over RM 100, while revoltech can maintain below RM 100 price
*
That's why I order stuffs from online stores. If you're worried about shipping fees, you could always order it from Singaporean stores. Last I checked, they're charging the original retail price for everything they sell (so, RM71.3 converted for Figma Haruhi, instead of RM95 in local shops). I've had Figma Nanoha, Kyon, Itsuki and Mikuru preordered on both hlj and KKnM, now I'll just play the waiting game and see which of them could get the stocks first, before paying ┐( ¯3¯)┌

Anyone here ordered stuffs from xl-shop online?

I've placed my orders last Saturday and paid them on the same day, after they told me that the stocks are available, and quoted me the total price. They replied me with a "thankyou for your payment" generic message after I've paid via. Paypal. It's been 4 working days already (courier service from KL to Melaka should be really fast) and I'm still waiting for my orders to arrive.

I've even mailed them, asking for my order's status around 36 hours ago, I've yet to receive any reply from them =(

I'd rather wait for HLJ to update their stock status on Lelouch and Nanoha, before ordering those two along with Nagato. I really have an issue with XL-shop's pricing.

so any idea where i can get the cheapest deal on revoltech goods?
*
Buy it from hlj. Buy several other stuffs, and save on shippings.

I recently bought Figma Nanoha,Yuki and Revoltech Gurren Lagann from them for RM250-ish. RM58.9 for GL, RM86.8 for Nanoha, RM77.5 for Yuki, and 970yen (RM30) for the SAL shipping fees.

any local ones?

Enjoy living in the early 90's. I pretty much buy all my hobby shit online now, except for Gundam kits (the large size of the boxes makes for horrible shipping costs). I don't see why you should never purchase anything online from one bad experience. That's equivalent to hating The Internet because someone emailed you a goatse picture.

My bad. I guess I've been lurking around at a certain image board (the place where everyone's an ANONYMOUS INTERNET BADASS) a little too much to post nice replies in a normal forum now =(

I really didn't knew about the bulk buying thing too. I disabled avatar and signature view since years ago, since I find them pointless (;゚д゚).

I'm terribly, terribly sorry if you find what I said previously insulting/demeaning ಥ_ಥ . We're still cool with each other, right? ( ≖‿≖)

hmm flj seem nice, guess i 'll order some from them, but compare to price to the shop i orders only slight different only, guess ,not much point order commont figures there, unless rare or limited,
how long it takes for u guys on delivery upon orders? max how long? my pos office service here, really teruk exp, most of the time parcel box badly damage one, pos laju is better.
*
Which shop do you buy your stuffs from? Link please. I've yet to see any local shops that sells stuffs (especially prepainted PVC figures) around the same value as the recommended retail price.

I've had 3 shipments from HLJ. One via EMS, two via SAL. EMS took 4 days to arrive, SAL took 11 and 13 days to arrive. Not to bad.

EMS shipment arrived in perfect form, one SAL in perfect form too, while the other, kemek abit (I ordered Rize, and the box was HUGE).

For those whose have Fraulein models, please share your experience with us. I want to know if all the Frauleins are like this.
*
It's pretty much well established that Frauleins have terribly loose joints that will naturally fall off randomly. Not to mention they have a very odd blank stare that's kinda creepy, when you compared it to the Figma line.

Contary to popular believe, there is no inner frame in those Yamato GNU. From what I saw on the net, despite the GNU bigger size, the edge still goes to Revoltech for posebility by a wide margin.
*
This man speaks the truth. Listen to him.

The Yamato version doesn't even come with its own stand and parts for PinPoint Barrier. Though in retrospect, the painting is much sharper than its Revoltech version (though one might argue that Revoltechs are much smaller, thus hard to paint the fine details nicely).

Yamato:

I want the WonderFest Figma Nagato.
My Figma Lelouch's front hair-piece comes out rather too easily.  doh.gif

Same for mine. Ledouche and Nanoha:s hairpiece comes out very easily. It:s a common problem for those two apparently (didn:t have this problem with my Yuki and Haruhi)

Shit that arrived yesterday:
user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image

The box was passed by customs without being opened. I guess it's okay to buy artbooks from HLJ, without fearing it being confiscated by customs for being a "material of questionable content" (you know, the cover art of the book already has tits and cleavages and whatnot). <3 that Miina artbook. Anyone have any other artbook recommendations that are available at HLJ? Their artbook (or most magazines, for that matter) sells rather quickly, and the Miina artbook I bought sold out a few moments after I paid for it : http://www.hlj.com/product/MDW23924

Few rants:
- don't buy Revoltech Yotsuba. the knee joints are really really loose, and the stand they include grabs her hips, which is rather pointless since it restricts its movements (should've made it hold her waist instead, or include another metal rod that's longer and would reach the waist)
- Figma Konata sux. front hair piece is really loose, and can hardly pose much thanks to the bulk of her hair

also, now I get why people buy DSLR cameras. It's near impossible to get good indoor shots with my Ixus40 =3=

Now they need to negotiate with McDonald's and come out with a Figma ドナルド, and EARN MILLIONS!

I know I'd buy 3 of them to replicate the triple Ronald dance thing in the infamous Flandre's theme nicovideo

You'll learn to junk the box once you have a sizable collection >_>

Because really, I'm running out of space for the boxes right now.
