it uses Steamworks, so I think no problem there. though I can't confirm that.

i know but since in theory a retail version is meant installing from physical disc so people wont have to wait for download time , what of the cd-key?will steam recognize it as "not available in your region" and wont let me install it??do i have to change region of my steam account?or am i just worrying too much?

problem is, we don't know if the GMG key is ROW key or not.
if it's NA key and turned out people from SEA can't activate it, we'll be in big trouble.

have to wait until they give me my key, see if can use or not.

That is not a proper solution. Its just as bad as torrent the game.

In future I will face problem with activating it from Malaysia.

I want a LEGIT way to buy the game. Square Enix so dumb to pull this stunt. They really encourage us to pirate the game.
