the ps3 use a standard power cord like PC and monitors, no? if the JPN cord is not usable, then just use any extra local cable.

Just had a bad day yesterday ... PS3 won't turn on (no RED LIGHT).

I think my JAP PSU is fried, any ideas on getting ths repaired in MY? Hate to send it backj to JAP. Bought it back in June 08.

Or any tips on a DIY solution?

Thanks.

i bought my used 60gb version from a guy and he says the same thing too.

i'm glad to read through the PS3 faqs and tried to switch on the PS3 without that bulky step down converter. and guess what, it works till today and i dun have to worry about getting that step down converter fuse fried every 4hrs playtime. wohooo.

really, u should read the PS3 FAQ. then u need guts to try it on!!

edit: just make sure the power cable connecting to the PS3 is using local 'wayar cerek'. icon_rolleyes.gif
