DO SOMETHING DURING THE 12TH GENERAL ELECTION
The 12th General Election will be here soon. Do you want to see a free and fair election? You can... if you volunteer to be an Election Observer !
MAFREL (Malaysians for Free and Fair Election) is an independent and non-partisan, non-governmental organization. Observing elections and to ensure that they are free and fair is our main mission. We are officially accredited by the SPR.
MAFREL is now looking for volunteers to be trained as Election Observers. Come for a briefing and training session if you are interested (absolutely no obligation). Do your part to ensure that the coming general election in our country would be free and fair.
Topics to be covered include: . The process of election . The policies and dynamics of election . Your rights as a voter . Is a free and fair election possible?
Speaker: Tn Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, MAFREL Vice-chairman
Even if you do not want to become an Election Observer, it would still be an excellent idea to attend the session, to get to learn about election.
Who qualifies to become an Election Observer in the coming general election? . You must be a citizen of Malaysia . You must be at least 21 years old

QUOTE(watch @ Feb 14 2008, 11:40 PM) The only useless thing here is the attitude above. If everyone thinks that way, and does nothing, then our country will have absolutely NO FUTURE. If you still regard yourself as a Malaysian, if you still have some feeling for this country, please, don't give up without a fight ! Believe it or not, people who thinks it's useless to stand up and do the right thing are the majority. 3 out of 5 malaysians I meet (Chinese particularly) has this mentality. Let me know when this thing hits the Klang Valley (hopefully PJ). This post has been edited by spanker: Feb 14 2008, 11:54 PM

QUOTE(arafat @ Feb 14 2008, 11:17 PM) there is nothing we can do.. fair or not fair for me it is useless hey ******* 10kg of rice wouldn't be 10kg if a few grains were missing. so think about it carefully cuz every small action counts. I'm planning to go for the training cuz even though i registered last august to vote, i've just been informed that i cant vote cuz i'm "still" not registered. anyone else going?
