hmmm... apparently you can do jobs like call centre telemarketing they pay a lot and easy to get... as so many jobs available... and not many people want to do... as you will get scolding a lot... the rate is around... 25 per hour i guess... for the tax rates... www.ato.gov.au can help you...
well... yes the food is... 10bucks PER MEAL... and it's the suckiest meal you can get... if you want to get like a PROPER meal... that will cost you around 20bucks... or you can have your MCDs all the time... 5bucks per meal... for me a girl... for a guy... still around 8bucks i think... so... food is expensive... UNLESS... you cook at home... maybe you can survive with 10bucks for 3 meals...

0-6000 no tax
6000-30,000 portion 15% tax
thats probably all u need to know for tax, for work im thinking $25p/h is quite a generous estimate, I would say more 15-22 depending on what you do, for example the bigger supermarkets such as coles and woolworths for anyone older than 20 pay almost $20, however it is hard for overseas students to get these jobs. Also telemarketting, everyone hates telemarketers I really dont think its a job u want to do.
Meals, I would def recommend learning to cook, the food is pretty shit on the cheap end, and even the expensive stuff sometimes - but u have to remember other stuff like toiletries, etc tissues it really adds up. i think 2 minute noodles is going to be a steady diet. yup i would say $10 a meal easy for very average food.
