Aih. I'm not staying in the city. I'm staying at my relatives place in Wantirna South. Taking the train to the city is a bit hard cause of the ticket price. AUS$161 for a monthly train/tram/bus ticket is a little over the edge.

I'm at Melb too. AUD161 is considerably cheap if comparing renting at the city $170 per wk for a studio. smile.gif Staying with relatives, save rent, save food money. save lots. I stayed with my relative till I graduated.

you're allowed to use your m'sian license unless you're a PR. just get it translated by a recognised language centre. icon_idea.gif

checked the FAQs, can anyone recommend a good wireless broadband?

Depending on your location, I used to use Unwired, very good connection around the city and mostly zone 1.
I deem it the best as you do not have to lock into a contract, and you get 7 days trial, if you are unhappy they refund you your money.
The modem is pricy, but students normally sell theirs at a low price on the uni intranet place

welcome to melb!
u r in zone 1+2 right?
well gradually everything going up...for sure..

Yea, in the Bayside area. It's still alright, I know lots of people complaining about the z1+2 and would rather drive up to z1 to park their vehicles before taking the train. but...nah, not for me.

But Connex sure is getting lots of complaints...very bad service during peak hr.

This morn they stopped the city loop, something happened at Melb Central.

I would rather complain about the hse interest rates.
