In Queensland a quick glance shows that most university applications open in late Sept/Oct. But check individual universities. Application open and closing dates, while similar, are usually not uniform.

dat means i can wait untill my real result come out then only i apply for uni.. which means mocks result isnt important.. brows.gif

For your information, there are only 4 university offering actuarial studies courses. They are Macquarie University(Sydney), ANU(Canberra), UNSW(Sydney), and Melbourne U. The best is Macquarie U, no doubt. If you are interested, then only I explain to you why it is.

Apply for PR? You can calculate if you gain enough points. Normally, people who have just graduated from Australian U will have just enough points to apply PR. If you want to work part time, you have to apply a tax file number and a working visa first. It costs you AUD60. You can work 20 hours per week at most.

I checked the entry requirement for MQ. The requirement is only advanced mathematic or equivalent. Nothing else alrdy. Im taking for A lvl math but not further math. So can i still go for the actuarial studies?

For A-level, Math is enough. Although accounting n economics are not formal prerequisites, it is recommended to take these subjects so that you won't struggle during your first year.

Btw, have a strong mathematics background is a must. You need to perform sufficiently well in math during high school in order to successfully complete the whole course.
Im taking acc, econ, math n law in a lvl.. is dat sufficient?

Hi there. I want to ask a few question for UQ student here. Im thinking of going to UQ to study Economics degree in UQ in 2010. Is the teachings there good and is 300 to 400k enough for whole 3 years study there? Including working during holidays. Thanks in advance.. biggrin.gif

TT for my bank was 1%(0.5% at both side) of total amount of transfers. Using St. George now, soon to be merge with Westpac.
2010? man my base fees will rise also. my engineering now is $20600 per year, next year will be $23000, more than 10% increases for new students next batch. You might want to consider honours for Economics(extra 1 year after your 3 years degrees) in your budget.
where? in aussie or malaysia? 1st can you get a PR if you want to work full-time in australia by using your diploma?
What job you want will depend upon the job requirements, some job need bachelor some need diploma.
