Hi i just wanna ask does the step down transformer help in preventing 3RRoD?
U.States using 110v while we in Malaysia uses 240v.(correct me if I'm wrong)
I dont mind spending few hundred bucks if it does.
Thanks.

Since when does stepping down the voltage elevates the useless quality of the 360? Take a look at US, the failure rates of the 360s are the same all around. The AC line voltage doesn't affect anything regarding the shoddy quality of the console. Your best bet is the new hardware revision that MS is going to ship out next.

Higher voltage is good since the current (Ampere) will be lower. Lower voltage will have higher ampere.

The 3Rod has nothing to do with your console voltage. Sure you need step down transformer to play it here, but it wont prevent your console from 3rod.

QUOTE(roticanai @ Jan 29 2008, 09:55 AM) agree, it does not relate to 3rod. I tot falcon chip had improved to decrease 3rod? Falcon only release about 4~5 month, so we cant make sure that it is this new chip can decrease the percentage of 3rod happen on new xbox360.

isn't it better to just get another adapater? don't have to lug around brick. and more power efficient too.
