Under NASD's amended Rule 2520 & NYSE Rule 431, intra-day trading a.k.a pattern day trader requires >=USD25k for margin trading. Then u will get 4x intra-day trading margin (that's what i got from etrade.com, i am not sure about other brokers e.g. optionsxpress.com)

Once balance falls below USD25k, u are restricted to cash-only transaction for 3 months.

GRex: u throw >USD25k into US stock market? which online broker do u use?

I am interested to join the investors club. Count me in.

Disclosure:
=======
I have both etrade and optionsxpress account, but i am not pattern day trader anymore.
On TA aspect, I know only RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands & Fibonacci.
I have short positions on US financial stocks now. ^^b
