The frequencies being mentioned are the frequencies being supported by SmartTone and not by the device.

For instance, Maxis supplies Huawei E372u-8 with

3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSUPA/HSDPA/UMTS 2100/1900/900/850 MHz
2G: GSM/GPRS/EDGE 1900/1800/900/850 MHz
They only operate on 2100 and 900 MHz for 3G.

Therefore please don't be confused with the frequencies supported by a device and the frequencies being supported by a network provider.
