er... me quite n00b about renovation.. but i did plans everythg for my shop renovation, every single places/corners in my shop, i plan it and calculate it.



1) unknown... each contractor from each company they charge differently.. as wat other forumer said, u pay wat u get.. but nowaday they using indonesia workers..

2) depends wat material.. so.. very hard to calculate...

3) depends on material...

4) cheapest, 4k to 6k.... but if expensive, can goto 10k. contractor charges on the difficulty and ur house size. and depends wat material u gonna use.

5) normal double storey should be around 4k to 8k... mind need to consider skim coat before start painting... again.. depends on wat paint u choose.. labor? better give the job to professional painter. otherwise, do it urself.... for my shop, my contractor dont know how 2 paint, but he said he will do the job... at the end, indonesia workers painted my shop with very bad outcome. and i gotta repaint some places myself.. (cuz over budget... )

6) plaster ceiling for whole house... this one few k can be done, find the right one, some might charge u very high price.... if you got problem with ur roof top, settle ur roof top problem...water leaking could make ur plaster ceiling look like sh1t...

find more contractor... sub-con... ask them quote u... u can save few k sometimes...
but before tat, make sure their quality...

i choose the cheaper 1, and my shop came out cheaper quality... .. tat time only think about saving money... for saving 1.5k, i get very bad result + bad attitude from the contractor... (delay work for 3 weeks.. they dont 1 work tat time..said got other jobs on hand and said wan to wait dunno which wall dry or wat.. ...whenever they did very bad job, i ask them to re-do.. they refuse.. i argued with them, they scold me with bad words.... and the wall i asked them construct.. after 2 or 3 months, the wall start cracking.... when they come and collect the remaining debts, they promised me they will come on next week to fix it... after 6 months, no news.. i just give up.... )
