Hey guys, I just join and wanted to ask about my DELL psu and wanting a new graphics card... I got a Dell Dimension 5150 2.8gh n 2gig ram. I also got a crappy ati x600... want to upgrade to something like a nvidia 8600gt or ati 2600xt... but my psu is 305w... i need better one, can get external one or get new one. also be gud if you know where to get as well. Would this work? and if it will do you know where to get?

Thanks

Stealth.

tough luck. dell's casing has proprietary-size PSU which means replacing it with aftermarket PSU is quite hard, unless some modding is carried out

The video card that you want doesn't take up much power, you can safely try slotting it in and see if it works. If it doesn't work properly, then only think of getting a new PSU.

Dell SFF generally has a riser slot, which means you need to have a proper riser card that has a PCI-e or AGP port. or it can accept a half-height card. depends on model and mobo

for Dell Ultra SFF (damn small), tough luck. only 1 half-height pci-e 1x slot available
