My first question, my ST sleeps a lot during the afternoon. Is that normal ?

My stars bought from Malacca. Kindly give comments and advise I'm seriously noob.
Here is my humble rig

hmmm...basking lamp ? You mean the lamp that I use has no effect on calcium absorption ? It does provide some UV light needed by the stars right ?

Can the normal tungsten bulb be a basking lamp ?

Yes in Malacca also hard to find. The aquarium dealer said that they placed orders but so far the supplier have not come back to them. Think their price going to go up again.

Like I said right now hard to find. Most of the places i went to sold out already. The store i bought mine left the last 2 both 3.5 inch at RM 100. Store owner also don't entertain bargaining cause he say now hard to find. The other place is the aquarium near Bukit Baru traffic junction. They have a pair for sale but less than 3 inch for RM100.

that's 100% more than i paid for. What's the market price actually? I bought my as an impulse buy so i didn't do much survey.

Hmmm.... thanks for your advise. I really don't know where to get the thicker substrate. What effects will the wood shavings have on the stars ?

When you mean bulb, you're referring to tungsten filament bulbs ?

How much did you get yours for ? Is kangkung good for them ?

I feel bad about these lovely creatures. I feel that we should no create a glut by purchasing so many it will cause their demand to surge. After all the best place for them is their natural habitat. If you want to raise then i think 1 or 2 is enough.
