hey guys. what are the basking hours for a small star tortoise. it's roughly 2-3 inches and i live in Penang, Malaysia.
Do i on the basking lamp at throughout the night?

GUys. can you show me a pic of your Star Tortoise tank? the habitat setup? and is putting a real small cactus in the tank a good idea? or the spikes would hurt the tortoise? i'm currently putting fake plants to make it feel at home.

anyone who is looking for star tortoise in Penang can go to the pet shop at fettes park opposite net city. you can see 3 stars there. but beware, it's not really healthy. they have elongatas too.. the cleanliness there is terrible and it's best if you just SEE the ST not BUY it.

hey guys. im thinking of making a small grass lawn in a box for an outdoor enclosure. what kinda soil should i use that wont be harmfull to my baby star tortoise??

i guess. i jst bought it. i got indoor tank for star.. its 2 feet x 1 feet. this outdoor, not sure of the measurement. now gonna update pics


Added on July 8, 2008, 5:23 pmbtw, my tortoise pooped some wood chips out. must have eaten a few wood chips. so now indoor tank's bedding is newspaper ONLY and outdoor is as the pics above. how to make sure 100% no wood chips left in my star??

Btw, my Star still poops wood chips out. And it's just a baby.. How do clean the woodchips from it's stomach and how do i make sure it's totally clean??
