Wow! This forum has been really active with posts there few days ya. Here's a few pics of mine. Have a question, since calcium supplement is so important for tortoise, is it the same for ally snapper? If yes I really have no idea how to feed ally snapper with calcium supplement, haha. Any suggestion?

I think its normal. Its happen to my Ally & Common Snapper, they 'SALIN KULIT' mah

Hmmm... Certainly the 2 torts I've is Star Tort, but I'm not sure why it's shell is higher and length is shorter compares to those I saw in most aquarium shops. I always wondering why they have longer length although have the same shell height with mine.

Maybe it's just I'm overfeeding them so they just look fat and round, haha. Anyway both are very healthy and happy torts.

But I dont know my torts is India Star or Sri Lankan Star... anybody can helps me identify them?

If feed rubbish food ( high protein , low fiber)  all the time the failure will be in renel system !! But if let browse on lawn / grass all the time then no problem done as grass are low protein high fiber type of food !!!

If the intestine is not full how to " push " the old shit from yesterday's Breakfast / Dinner out of system !!! LOL but smaller ration into more meals , I agree

*If they are hungry they will seek out anything that look like food ie. substrate - wood chip , corn cob , wood shave , pebbles ....etc and eat them

Yesterday I gave her her first "bath" to scrub off any growing algae of her shell.  She was sooooo fierce. Tried to snap at the toothbrush and the running water also. Wonder how to handle her when she's bigger...

I think she scared cuz it's the frst time she got brushed. She's still small so I think no need worry till a lot later. And yes, common more scary. Hehe...

so if i always put food in their food dish(SAWI)...its ok or not ?

how much do you guys feed your snappers
as in quantity like 2 to 3 pieces of frozen blood worms/ prawns???

those feeder fish looks big
my big snapper catch 2 of them in the small tank but when snap them already cant fit in too big then those let the snapper claw scratch til half dead the snapper duwan care about them haha go catch new 1

but now at the new big blue pool, hardly able catch 1  T_T
