my method is i offer them the pellet together with the vegie. but sure they not taking it. after a few times, i wet the pellet, and with the vegie which i chop into small size, i mix all of it into a lump.. (the mixer like.. erk....) they eat it since is mixed. then i offer the dry pellet again, but they not taking. then starve them one day, they edi eat it since no other choice. haha..

actually to say the true lah, i dunno why do law band people having star? and i am so angry that they catch people with star, but they gave out lesen and allow people to hunt other own country protected animal! such as deer and poccupine and elephant!! huh.. acting to protect the tortoise, but letting other animal to die~~

but i saw a... eee... jadual... the rate they hunt down increased almost 2x compare to last years! huh...

but the original problem is that, people who want to rare t&t wont decreased or increased. now althro there is law, but still got people who want to get the tortoise, because it is illegal to own it, but people thinking 'if i own something illegal and special, other will see how hebat i am'. (this is people psychology! haha.... law are to be broken.) then those seller who still owning star will increased the price until like now one 3 inch star rised until rm1000 plus! huh... (gila punya orang, heard people talk about that). and for people like us who love t&t like our own children, are efected by the law and get punished because of our love. huh... (love is no wrong lah! haha...) no eye see ah.. huh.. oh ya, is the law stated any tortoise or all tortoise is illegal now?? huh...

mmmm... what a hard to understand stuff. haha..

no lah. what they try to mean is that when an animal (most animal) which were taken care by human once they were born or animal which taken care by human since they small, will tend to lose the natural ability..(TEND)... it is cause by conditioning (try so google the word classical conditioning and operant conditioning - mean that behaviour learned fron conditioning) or should say they learn something else which might replace the natural ability... thats why need 're-introduce' or should say revise their natural ability so they remember. haha... (can explain like this ah??)

use small fish pellet. haha... sure they will eat.

tortoise not eat mea. turtle only eat meat~

i think the sea park there the shop got a lot of turtle. hehe... but long time no go c di, and their price is super expensive. huh...

i catch a river terrapin in hutan rimba komanwel. haha...

turtle shell no need to polish, just rub it off. hehe.. use soft brush~ haha.. last time i always brush my RES with soft tooth brush. but released them after they were big enough. haha...

btw, the soft shell that i have is it same with the picture post by sampert?? seems the same, but different color. haha... maybe bacause it's small... any idea?

start tortoise, humidity as low as posible, since starz cannot tolerate wet!!!!
temperature, normal temperature is ok edi. try to maintain room tamperature or use lighting if you keep it in door.

starz are desert tortoise. they are strightly cannot tolerate wet!!!! once in a while only the desert will rain maybe half a year once or so on. so do you think they can tolerate wet??
