I'm still curious though, what's the answer to your question?

Is it due to insufficient voltage? Not enough juice to keep the RAM working at optimal status which causes the bandwidth to drop  

Not that i know of, but rams dont drop speed just because of insufficient volts, afaik it BSOD's

That's why ain't needing those high performance yet unless you're going for really high speeds and tight timings all together. Real world performance ain't boost any significance difference for me. 

i'm using Crucial Ballisticks 800 2 GB....
just bought it a while ago....and i know the whole  1:1 to thing and any other ratio is crap when i bought it...
but i wanted to push my q6600 to 450 if can...so tats y i bought it....

but now i have not time to OC...but thinking of getting another 2gb ram...
so should i get a 2gb value ddr2 800 ram or get another Crucial Balls?
