However it still looks not lowered enough. Just look at elru's siggy, the gap between tire and wheel arch.
*
Haha.. Well i think Honda probably has expected most peoply will upgrade to a 17" rim thus didn't made the car too low. rolleyes.gif
But even after 17" rim, i believe still if lowered abit should be looked better. Just need to be careful on road bump.

IMO, I do not believe any products in Singapore is selling cheaper compared with Malaysia, never did believe at all.
That's why i guess price for the City isn't suppose to take Singapore price as reference.
Hope my thought is right.
It's still a worth car as its FC is very good. But if it's too pricey. It's won't be a benefits for Honda. Think Honda's market research team should have known about that.

from what i have read, the fc of this car is not bad... juz slightly overprice problem facing now.
*
Well, i guess we have to wait until the actual coded price to come out when the City is launched in MY then only we could justify. Guesses might only "frightened" other readers. LOL.. Just kidding.
As info from Honda SA themselves too seems "untrustable" at the moment. Have to wait for sure.

Further more, from my average FC research results City is the best FC car compared with others including Myvi and Vios. The reading results mostly even obtained from those with heavy foot.
Current new City with new 5 speed gears should be similar since it's FC still remain around 15+km/l.

Same answer.
It's depends on the driver's need. IDSI is great for those who like to save petrol but doesn't need power.
Vtec / I-Vtec is for those who prefer power more than saving a little petrol.

Vtec's FC probably abit expensive for IDSI, but it is very FC saving compare to a normal "Potong Vla". smile.gif

Hahaha... Agreed. And sometimes it also depends on the Car service mechanic whether able to configure the car performance setting to "perfect" or not.

Added on November 1, 2008, 7:16 pmArgh... Wish somemore.. Seriously wish to test drive a Toyota Wish for sure. Even though not afford to get one but at least should drove once. LOL..

Now i planning my backup plan is to get 2nd hand facelifted city if the new city is too overpriced and depending on economical outcome as well.

Today i checked a few 2nd hand city in cheras and i impressed with a few. Very tempted for the blue one drool.gif
*
QUOTE(elru @ Nov 1 2008, 11:09 PM)
true, i also looking on the interest rate and the price. but if tats the case, i just keep my old car then. and next time baru get a bigger car.
*
Same as what's in my mind. smile.gif
Hmm.. Hopefully it won't overprice lar. Else, i guess i won't goes for 2nd hand City already. Instead i might go for a 2nd Wish or a Nissan GL with the same cost. Worst come to worst, stick back to old car but modded the engine or light body to get a better FC.

Haha... I did saw some City modded to be seriously unacceptable. Argh...
"Why is there a big box moving on the road?" LOL..
But it actually depends on how it's being modded and the sifu who modded it.

haha even my backup plan in jeapody now. I got sounded by my parents not to change car due to uncertain economical situation. But true also, but let see how next year goes. I just have a feeling they want to stick with my myvi n save money until my myvi cannot drive, which is a big no way shakehead.gif

There alot of possibilities here, but in the meantime, i will drive my myvi, with a sad n dissapointed heart sad.gif
*
Myvi still consider as a very petrol saving transport. So you are still ok compare to mine. smile.gif
However of course City is still better than Myvi. brows.gif

QUOTE(Gravity @ Nov 3 2008, 02:45 AM)
omg, new city looks OMFGWTFBBQSAUCES OWNING after modified !!! toyota really have to do something...else they will be beaten terribly this time.
*
From the exterior, Toyota design really makes me wonder "How could the designer able to maintain his job". Vios still previous version looked better. Furthermore current new Vios engine seriously noisy. Wonder why quality dropped.

QUOTE(4agze @ Nov 3 2008, 10:15 AM)
wow thumbs up for the modified new honda city... smile.gif
*
It definitely won't be cheap if wanted to mod the City until like the Aus version, i can see the light itself is already cost a lot. blink.gif

yup, i wonder too why is toyota repeating honda's 'jazz transformation to city' mistake. anyway, it still sells ok worldwide since 2005. weird.

hmm i dun really fancy the LED headlights, cos i want angels eyes haha. and the bodykits + rims are really drool.gif
*
Older version of Vios still ok. New version is a no no.. smile.gif
I would prefer the rear light and all the bodykits as modded for the Aus version, front light same like you - Angel eye. However i believe the Aus version of fog light sure won't be cheap as well... blink.gif

yea, the aus fog light looks nice but i dun think its practical o.

Abit doubt that it's really can help on the road or simply decoration. smile.gif

QUOTE(elru @ Nov 3 2008, 12:00 PM)
btw, if wan to equip with angel eyes, i think there are a lot of work need to be done. unless they have the after market holder, o lets not forget the wiring too. im going to do research about it once got the car hehe.
*
I think i'll just wait for the after market. Easy and simple with no headache.. Hehe..

After seeing all this pics.. It makes me even hunger to change the rim to 17" haha..
Well the 15" is ok but seems too thin... If can replaced with a 15" wide rim should be even better.. and stable when cornering..

Ehh.. abit OOT but V12Kompressor, you really want to use that as your signature meh..? Hahaha.. LOL..

QUOTE(Travies @ Nov 4 2008, 12:47 PM)
agree, somehow the tyre for this city is too thin even in 16inch. getting the civic 1.8 16inch tyre is balance.. for 17inch upgrade, i do not agree as it sacrifices ur comfort level.
*
Somehow agree with you. 17" is more to look and stable but it sacrifice comfort for sure.

QUOTE(Travies @ Nov 4 2008, 07:21 PM)
even foglight also dun have wor... hehe
*
Nope. These have no fog light because it's the normal spec with 15" rim. Only the LX spec got the fog light and 16" rim. smile.gif

if it comes here, it might kill the new city because many complain the new city's back copy from vios, looks ugly and doenst match the front. only a few appreciate it as bmw 3 series's back.
*
For me, it's not really look similar like Vios or BMW back. Although sometimes some angle looked like it. But somehow its shape is different. Haha.. No worry..
But i do agree that its tail is a little too short. If it's to be longer like CIvic then sure it will be nice.

That one we have to wait for the model to launched then only we'll know.
But since second hand car can even get interest as low as 3.5%, i believe purchasing a new City should be able to get even lower interest. 2.x% perhaps. smile.gif

How many of you here has place booking on the car?
It's really dam nice but too bad it's a 5 seater. Not suitable for the coming seat bell rules next year. Sigh..

lol! you're right. kinda fickle minded about it. initially was going to book the vios 'cos my dad didnt want 2 City in the house
but think i've decided on the City (now have to wait in line). couldn't book today 'cos of the Public Holiday.. haha! tongue.gif
*
In addition is, i already have 2 Vios user complaining the engine sound is too loud. I even listen to one myself.. Seriously it sounds more like an old car for me. Even my Wira engine is more quiet than Vios engine. Unless you are taking the previous version Vios then the engine sound is nice. Didn't even notice the engine was on. brows.gif

huh, my wira engine sound is definitely much louder than my vios, my gen 2 is more quiete though.  hmm.gif
*
Haha.. Normally those sounds come from the fan, all sort of belts and if screw not lock tightly or even screw lost. Then it will lead to many ngi ngi, ding ding, dang dang, ngek ngek all sort of sounds.. Haha.. It has to be serviced, maintained and replaced on time. Though more frequent than Honda or Toyota only can catch up the the "quiet" status.

Do they take trade in for old honda? Can anyone let me know, thanks... smile.gif
*
They accept trade in for any cars. Just that you have to expect the trade in price to be drop compare with market price.
