QUOTE(zweimmk @ Aug 24 2008, 10:37 AM) Besides styling (which is great by the way), how much better is the new City to the Vios? Although relatively subjective,I think alot of forumers here will add "looks" to the list of what's better.Remember that the Toyota Vios (Belta) was launched in Japan in 2006 (design is already 2 years old). So again, I won't expect anything less from Honda if they intend to compete. Judging from the pictures: - It has better integrated audio - 5 speed AT - Paddle shifters But nothing else significantly better than the Vios. If Honda Thailand has moved the launch to September, we could see the new City here as early as Nov. or January next year to try to hit the CNY crowd. Otherwise, the launch will happen in March of next year as originally intended. Let's see how they price the new City. As well as the I-vtec engine of course (120ps) |

Me too dunno how come they can found all the latest pic while i keep searching and searching also can't even find one except the spyshot at india only(so outdated).
The pics we have already see. The stylish look we already accepted. Now just left the launch and detailed specs from the www.honda.com.my only. Then we can only know the actual info. |

The pics on the blue city should be the lower spec version. I hoping Honda Mysia to bring the black interior for the premium edition of the city.
Nevertheless this looks good, honda has generated much excitement in this upcoming city in this region. |

I found the pictures shown and the model spec listed got some different....
The spec for VS model is Black sporty looking tone interior, paddle shift, 16" sport rim and etc... ![]() But the Blue color new City at picture is shown 2 tone color with biege color seats and come with paddle shift, 16' rim.... Abit confuse.... If the Metalic blue color city is SV model, then almost match the specs...but for sure the price will hit RM90K... I found the S model didnt mention any ABS and airbag... is this model going to war with Vios J spec with selling price RM70K?? Another interesting stuff.... * Luggage under of rear passenger seat I was thinking how this feature works.... Just my 2 cent~~~ This post has been edited by winlose2582: Aug 24 2008, 11:03 PM |

the shape is a little boxy, the buttons layout is a little childish (too big) and overall looks kinda dull with the silver coating makes it looks cheap. i just have to learn to love it and appreciate its beauty

Haha... Actually it's already alot better compared to "some" car's dashboard already. If we like the exterior, we have to accept the interior as well lor.
I don't think they will have any "J spec" type of option lar. Never seen one on Honda model before. They will have few option but won't lower their spec until like "J type of spec" which used normal rim covered by plastic. |

its also the first time for toyota to have 'J' option if u ask me, i think perhaps they are desperate? i dun mind the manual for honda, but not degraded until that extend.
me too also have to learn to like the dashboard...sigh... but maybe the driving experience can make up to it? but im sure it does way way better than the one im driving now hehe. |

Brush aside those cheap materials thingy in comparison to the original spec, the "J" Option will still be a good bargain for the Proton users - 70k for a Toyota instead of the 80-95k++ price tag on the new City. Who knows we might see a lot of J's on the street in the near future? Anyway, I wonder if the new City will have a bigger rear space as it's a lil bit of uncomfort to sit at the back of the current City... |

Its already way higher and wider than a Vios. The picture is sad. Like Civic wannabe. Just go ahead and buy Civic better. Old City design is way better. |

QUOTE(andrekua @ Aug 25 2008, 11:07 PM) Haha.. The question you should probably ask is "Who wouldn't want a civic is affordable?"It may be so obvious for people to like Civic so much but unaffordable, that's why Honda redesign the cheaper City to follow the trend and design of a Accord combined with Civic. Haha.. But anyway, it may be just me. The new Honda City looked fine for me way better than the old one. |

QUOTE(D_Y2k.4^ @ Aug 26 2008, 07:59 PM) Well compare to the current City, as i've seen lots of people's opinion saying that current and previous 2 version of city looked quite bad compare to all Honda model. The new coming City definitely trying to break through those gossip by come out with a whole new exterior design. So far i can see it's getting more and more attraction. |
