backing up from ipod touch

hey dudes,
i just got a 16gig. connectivity ok, no prob charging and syncing with itunes.
im trying to backup files to PC but neither copytrans nor winamp will detect my ipod as portables. i chk device manager, got ipod driver there, but cant find ipod in my computer.
halp!

You can only manage your medias only with iTunes, and iPod touch does not support memory storage so you cannot simply copy medias from a location to another.
Just backup your music and videos to another HDD or flash drive.

yeah, im just trying to figure out a way to use ipod as portable disk. turns out i can use it with copytrans...tapi only got trial version  but winamp cannot detect lah. cib@i ah itunes nih.

Well, I'd say you should've looked up the details on this matter regarding the product you were gonna purchase before you start cursing iTunes or Apple for this. This is the way the iPhone/iTouch's were designed since the beginning, and they've never been designed to work as external flash drives. There ARE indeed 3rd party apps which allow this, but it wasn't meant to do so. So chill down, as learn to live with it.
