finish my HL tiger. due to the size r huge, it consume alot of time, paint ( 3 bottles), thinner (100ml) to completed it.
Machinegun broke & MIA. sweat.gif
The suspension of the wheel unscrew & re-screw it make it loose (may need to apply cement to tight it). maybe plastic quality not good.

This is not Heng Long tank but fun to play too. It have IR receiver that can detect how many shot it took when playing two of similar tank. The only problem the rubber tracks very easy to come off when playing on the grass. I don't know whether I can use Heng Long parts, the metal tracks on this tank.

so far it could run on plenty much any dry surface (dry to avoid any moisture entering the battery compartment)
one thing that is need of consideration is the thread width. smaller tanks like Pz III and Pz IV have narrower treads as compared to its bigger/modern counterpart. smaller thread would lead to snap-off/broken threads. this could be avoided by driving it slowly on such terrain.

unless you are using all metal (which cost a lot), by all means make that tank a dragster tongue.gif

Thanks Tiger! I already ordered the tank, actually I only going to get one of them. Earliest this Monday @local RC shop @Parit Buntar. Hopefully the tank available, one of them.

The tank I have right now is not branded, 1/24 scale if I'm not mistaken. Pics in my post above. It have IR battle system (IR receiver & barrel), engine start sound & motion effect, engine sound effect, machine gun sound effect (auto while turning the turret), fire sound & motion effect, etc. I'm very satisfied but it have rubber tracks (caterpillar). It easily come off from the wheels when manoeuvring on grass, (certain) carpet, etc. If I turn slowly, it will be no problem but the turning radius will be larger.

you are very much welcome

i am not familiar with your particular 1/24 tank, but most of the time, we would do a monthly tankmeet for upgrading, playing some battles together and sharing purposes

last time most meets are in kl, but as of now, we are now also playing together with n9 tank group as well

i do wish that this community would grow larger and sharing the same passion biggrin.gif

That is just OEM brand tank. Usually supermarket sell it. I bought it because it look nice & I like tanks. Able to remote control is a bonus. It only slightly cheaper than Heng Long 1/24 scale rc tank.

There is northern rc tank group. Maybe I can join them later after I get my Heng Long tank.

Funny story, the seller at the shop surprised I want to buy Heng Long tank. He said something like this, "itu 200 - 300 ringgit tank, you mau beli ka?" I'm surprised that he is surprised because he is selling rc car, buggy, quad copter, planes, etc that cost 400++ to 1000++ ringgit. He not surprised when I buy 1/10 scale rc buggy for 4xx ringgit from him last month. biggrin.gif

ah i see
oh northern rc group? that one is also active biggrin.gif
well, it's a niche community, not many that i see (imho) that are into tanks if one is talking about rc because most will go for planes and heli
well, heng long is actually a good start. wsn is worst in terms of plastic quality due to the fact the plastic isn't as tough as heng long
not to mention regarding of their electronics
this also applies to hobby engine as well (from my observation of friends that have those)

so, heng long is indeed a good start into rc tank hobby. if you are into better sounds and electronics as well as spare parts, heng long is very much upgradable

welcome biggrin.gif

Bad news. The seller don't have either of the two models in stock. He told me that they have German tank. I think that's great since I like one or two of the German tanks. However I don't know which tank he is referring to but he did said the tank is blue. I think he meant gray because from the picture the tank look almost blue. I think it's either Tiger or Panzer tank. I asked which German tank they have but until now I didn't get the answer yet. The tank is not in his shop but he can bring it in the next day if I really want it. I don't know which tank he have, so I can't give any confirmation yet unfortunately.

Anyway, can anyone recommend any Malaysia online store that sell Heng Long RC Tank at reasonable price? Thanks.

Most probably the indomitable Tiger I tank, or the Panzer III/Panzer IV, or Panther. These are made in blue/grey plastic by Heng Long IINM. One way to tell Panzer III/Panzer IV apart is by counting the number of roadwheels. Pz III has 6 while Pz IV has 8.
Or probably StuG III. Perhaps.
Any pics/links of the seller?

In any case, you could have a look for this particular seller:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.6...69008474&type=3
I do think that his price is in okay range.

If you are into the real representation of the actual tank, Tiger II (King Tiger) and StuG III are the most accurate of the bunch, followed by Panther/Jagdpanther (the lower glacis is on different angle to accommodate the gearbox for it). Tiger I was deliberately made with few errors because back then they thought by doing this, at least they won't have to face the consequences of copyright infringement by Tamiya since it was copied from it. As for other nations, I am not fond with those tanks, so I can't really tell the comparison with the actual ones.

One thing to consider is always to get the latest from Heng Long for a better quality. For example, earlier Heng Long's tanks are equipped with RX-13 board, which was problematic, as compared to their latest offerings (fitted with RX-18). The latest one from his list is the M4 Sherman.

Or you could give Jalan Raja Laut (IINM, the ones with PAS building) a try. Along that stretch of road there are myriads of shop selling RC-related items as well as RC tanks in 1/16 scale. Probably you could get a T-34/85 (another one of the Heng Long's latest offering). Nicely detailed, and very lovely indeed biggrin.gif

The seller don't have website or email or facebook or MMS. He only have physical store. He tried to MMS the picture of the tank to me but it failed to sent out. Yesterday he promised me to text me the model number & the name of the tank but he didn't. Today he said to me he is waiting his friend to compile a list of tanks that is in stock, Heng Long + other brands, then he going to text me. I doubt he is going to text me today.

BTW, I have seen a couple youtube video showing Hobby Engine tanks with Heng Long electronics. Is this mean Heng Long electronics is better than Hobby Engine electronics?

yes, although by comparison, heng long is actually just okay
thus you could conclude yourself that hobby engine do have crappy electronics

wsn is also the same deal in terms of electronics

I got my first Heng Long tank today. It's Heng Long RC Tank U.S M41A3 Walker Bulldog Skala 1/16, model 3839-1 (BB bullet). The Heng Long QC sticker show 2014. So, it's not old stock. I'll post pictures this arvo. biggrin.gif

Not bad, shipped overnight from KL to the seller store at Parit Buntar, Perak. Actually there are two tanks shipped, Tiger I & Bulldog but the seller said something wrong with the Tiger I caterpillar & wheels, so he sent it back. Funny though since he said both tanks was at his store just a couple hours before. I think he like the Tiger I tank, so he keep it for himself because his explanation doesn't make sense though. First he can't really tell what is wrong with the tank, secondly he said it's expensive & finally he sent it back right after it was delivered to his store. He don't even know my budget. Oh well, no problem at all since I didn't say which one I really want to buy because I don't know which tanks was being shipped & Bulldog was my first choice. biggrin.gif

EDIT: There's "Infrared Battle System" on the box. At the base of the barrel, I can see it's either IR transmitter or LED but I don't see IR receiver anywhere. I'll see later when the battery fully charged. My cheap OEM tank have IR battle system. I wonder whether I can test the IR with it. Any thoughts?
