EDIT: Ops! Sorry double post.

that is another 200-ish sweat.gif

I just now asked try to talk to him to just sell the RX18 board & it is 115 ringgit. Do you think that a bit steep?

No problem. I just ordered two RX18 boards. Just checked ebay, the cost around 90 to 100 ringgit (free shipping) from Hong Kong. So 115 ringgit is ok I think, especially it'll arrive tomorrow.
*
quite okay i guess
unless you take limfreelance's suggestion, and if you find it somewhere, you could get a tiger i locally at myr 150.00, and either keep the boardless hull or sell if of as well tongue.gif

Even if I buy another tank, I won't sell my bulldog since all I need to fixed it is a RX18 board. The seller did offer me a german tank, either panzer or panther for 2xx ringgit but for now I must fixed the bulldog first.
*
You could transfer the board from others into Walker Bulldog since Heng Long's tanks all sounds the same tongue.gif

In any case, hoping that your tank will be in good condition biggrin.gif

That would make me crazy because one of the tank will be inoperative. tongue.gif

Thank you, hoping full recovery. Hopefully today because the seller said it would arrive this afternoon. I'm going to put a fan & 5 amp fuse to protect the board.
*
hahaha
it seems that you have this thing with non operative tank laugh.gif
i too feels it would be less than complete if a rc tank doesn't move

in any case, looking forward for it
do post up some pics if you're doing any internal mods yeah

My bulldog running again. Something wrong with the receiver board, so I changed both RX18 & receiver board. I don't know what's wrong with original receiver board but we didn't troubleshoot further including unplug & replug the crystal. I paid 168 ringgit for both. Tell me I'm an idiot or what?

I also bought german panther or snow Leopard (the manual said snow Leopard) for 82 ringgit, minus the receiver & RX18 boards (if the bulldog original receiver turn out good, only minus RX18). Yeah, we transfer the boards to bulldog. biggrin.gif Now, is this good bargain or I'm an idiot?

Oh yeah, I also bought tiny fan for coolig RX18 board.
*
supposedly everything should be in running condition if the crystals are in correct numbering (1-8 IINM)

I just tried it again last night, the receiver board definitely dead. The crystal ok. So I have two sets of crystal.  For the panther, I plan to put Clark TK22 board in it & replace gearbox/sprocket/tracks with metal.

The right motor in Bulldog a bit loose. Fortunately the gearbox doesn't ware out. If the board doesn't burn the gear might ware out & I would still need to spent some money for the gearbox.

I hope this unfortunate event doesn't scare off people from getting into this hobby.

The only things I don't like about Heng Long is shoddy quality control & poor wiring job. There are exposed wires that just mm away from touching each other.
*
You are really having a streak of bad luck IMHO sweat.gif
Apart from the occasional detrack (self mistake since I spin the tank to fast on grassy surface), I have never encountered any problem at all for both my Tiger I and Tiger II

What Panther are you having BTW? The Ausf. G of the earlier ones (dubbed Pantiger tongue.gif)

I am not sure regarding that term used by allied for Tiger II, but I am most definitely sure that Pantiger is the name for the amalgation of Panther using Tiger hull in RC scale, hence the combined name.

Doesn't matter really, as long as the end result that the user is happy. I am just particular with such matter since I aim for the accuracy of it in scale form. That is just my personal view.

This is the article that talking about the "original" PanTiger.
http://www.lonesentry.com/articles/ttt_pantiger/

I'm also prefer accuracy in scale model but I'm new to tank, so it's hard for me to detect inaccuracy of the design. Since Panther was never in the short list of tank I want to get, I never research about it. I just saw someone make little correction to PanTiger, make it look like a Panther G if I'm not mistaken. Look easy for the front. I may try it later.
*
Oh okay I get it. A Tiger that resembles a Panther, which is quite true in terms of design (sloped armor, similar size [but then again, Panther, Tiger I and Tiger II all share nearly identical size when put side by side]). This is new to me, after reading many books on German WWII tanks laugh.gif

Panther Ausf. G would be a good choice, since it is the late version, as compared to D and A.

Hobby Engine electronics is quite, eccentric, to say the least
no proportion speed, barrel goes up and down WITH turret rotation (not independent)
if one could change the inner workings of it, Hobby Engine seems like a viable choice for well detailed tank OOB
if moolah ain't a problem

Tiger I@, I remember you said some of your friends already upgraded to Clark TK22 board. Can you ask them what radio they're using & how they deal with the non-self-center left stick kat radio tu?
*
Last time IINM he stated that he uses Turnigy 9x, but I can't say on the second question
I'll ask him and let you know ASAP biggrin.gif

I found this thread. It's old & probably some already revised since then.

List of products that get or not get tax. Toys from 15% to 25%.
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/841985

I want to buy Clark TK-22 board. I think this fall under electronics equipment. So, it's Non-dutiable I guess. Still depends on the seller how they declare the items. If they declared Toys, tax will be between 15 - 25%.
Any update?

BTW, where I can buy Clark TK-22 board? Or can you ask your friend where he/she bought his/her Clark TK-22 board?

Thank you.
*
Nope, but I do think that my brother did mention seeing your name in a FB group related to RC tank
Do check personally with a person called Yassin Y****a in there, he said smile.gif He also brings in Clark TK-22 by bulk, so that should ease some burden in the shipping, and enjoys some discount from Clark themselves biggrin.gif

Hello I'm getting my first tank but before that I need an opinion. Is it ZTZ 99A MBT worth it? do any of you exprerience any problem with it? Im thinking between ZTZ 99 or German Tiger I. Which is better? I know that ZTZ have a new board and larger than German Tiger I thats why it hard to decide. I saw Rc Toys on facebook sell ZTZ 99 for RM320  rclxms.gif  i need someone to reply asap smile.gif
*
Go with the ZTZ-99A.

Heng Long's Tiger I is plagued with inaccuracies (even in the newer version) with symmetrical turret, too wide stowage bin (on the outside) and etc.

Thank for reply though. Now I get my tank but seems weird or something wrong with the trasmitter. on the right hand control when you push the stick forward it will go to the right instead forward. when you push the stick to the left it will go forward. down will go to left and right going reverse. is it only me or everyone have the same thing. hate when you just got your toys and it broken already ah
*
the bearing (on the control, forgot the name, i think my tanks are now collecting dust laugh.gif) can be adjusted for left-right proportion

Taobao have already ah? And like you, I'll wait for T-90A out only then I would get it. T-90 isn't used by the Russian Ground Force, so duwan tongue.gif
