first time creating a topic here.

first off, after upgrading graphics card from onboard gpu, i feel the temperatures of my pc have risen a bit and would like some advice on how to cool it down.

my specs are in my signature plus 2 120mm fans. the front one being intake and the back one exhaust. the front intake fan is a pretty weak rm12 fan and the exhaust is the one that comes with my casing (elite 330), the cooler on my gpu, i have no idea whether it is sucking in air or blowing it out. below is the layout. sorry, the cable management sucks i know. and my camera isnt any better as well. doh.gif

forgot to mention that my PSU also has a 120mm fan blowing down IINM.

from the pic above, i seriously have no idea on how the air moves in my casing. doh.gif

as requested, here are my current idle temps. im not sure how to check my temps on load. if someone could point that out to me it would be nice. i also have problems checking my temps for my GPU, rivatuner doesnt show anything, ATItool doesnt as well. =.=''

was thinking of getting some PCI cooling device but as u can see, the space between my PCI slots and GPU Cooler is very close. my side casing is transparent but has no holes for another fan. im planning to spend no more than RM50 (limited budget and kinda cheapskate) and hope at least cool down my system to a tolerable level. i would also prefer avoid loud components, anything above 23 dBa is out of the question. any suggestions?

btw, off topic, but anyone does know why my GPU is powered by 2 molex instead of one PCI-E power connector? sweat.gif

thanks for the help. notworthy.gif

It's pretty normal that the system temperature rises by 3 to 5 degrees for CPU and north bridge due to heat from graphic card rises ambient temperature

hmm .. either u use a more effective cooler to dissipates the heat faster from the core and exhaust it through rear fan ...

or just live with it ...

remove those pci slot covers and put a 120mm fan blowing out, you can attach it to the bottem of the case with hot glue if you dont mind, or just let it stand smile.gif

and make sure your casing's exhaust is higher then your intake to create a vacuum effect for the intake. (disregard this is you run it side panel-less)
