My iPhone lasts about 2 days even with wifi, EDGE, videos, surfing, basically everything. it's miraculous if u ask me. I've been using pocket PCs for many years n those are abominable battery killers. Turn on the wifi on a PPC n u'll see it die off in about 1.5 hours.

The battery will dry faster in a cold environment. Example if u r in an aircond room or office fer a long time. Try to hold ur iPhone at the chrome edge. It's cold rite? No good fer the battery. Read the manual fer the best temp fer the battery.

My phone started out with much better battery life. But of course, like all other electronic devices, it deteriorates after some time. I'm just hoping it won't reach a critical extent too soon, THIS is one battery I dread to replace.... sad.gif

It's retailing at RM259.00

it serve as a reserve battery and also a charger to the iphone battery when there is no portable charger around.

it's available in Maccity at 1Utama and Machines Mid Valley.

for those who are interested, can go to the stores.

However, we also do mail order delivery.

why bluffing?
I think all your points are valid and its good for many iphone users to take note.

we have other option is to help those that have problems with battery life, especially those older batteries.

Lithium-based battery are great, low chances for the battery "life" (I mean capacity) to get down if we use it often.

Be sure your SSH service is off. I've heard 'rumours' that it's one of the main causes of battery drain ?

The battery life pretty much depends on your usage too. Avoid wasting battery capacity unnecessarily like leaving the WiFi and EDGE on when not in use. Of course, there's brightness and the EQ settings too.

there are proper FM transmitters for iPod/iPhone that will also charge the unit when plugged in. Try those that gets the audio signal from the Dock port instead of the earphone jack.

I can't understand if you guys have to money to buy an iphone or ipod touch. why take the risk of buying cheap charger?
Apple is very much against it and if it spoiled and your warranty will be void.

As far as I am aware, cheap things are usually rejects from the production. There are not up to the QC. So I will not
take such a risk.

Its like, driving a BENz or BMW but not willing to pay for parking at the car park. End up have to pay for summon. This is something that I cannot figure out. rclxub.gif

Can we have a consensus?

When everyone first bought their iphone, how long did it last ?

Secondly, does the extra apps drain the battery faster?

Im shocked some can last more than 1 day.. Mine i just got and it wont even last 24hrs. And this on minimal usage cuz i was curious since it died very fast the first time so i tested it by using it very little..

Yeap. Means try to switch off SSH as far as possible when not in use, or you'll have more battery down the drain...

Guys, so u mean there is no standby mode for iphone?
Let say just some minimum applications and some song playing for 1 hour and 80% backlight is it able to last for few days?

Or iphone is practically power monster?

sim solution for US version is programmed to emulate ICCID code of AT&T operator, while for UK version it is to emulate O2 operator. So iPhone that's inserted with SIM solution with ICCID of AT&T will assume that it is inserted with valid AT&T simcard, and vice versa.

Wonder how the battery topic drifted off to X-SIMs... rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif Battery life on 1.1.3 is simply OWNING for me now!!! Back then with 1.1.1, I had a hunch that my battery lifespan was already nearing it's end with the declining usage time per charge cycle. And now it's back to NORMAL!!! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

Sure, mate. You can take my word for it. The only things that seem to decline over each firmware release is the stability with the 3rd party apps. But we all know that they weren't meant to work in the first place, so that's understandable.. wink.gif

Hi All.

I have two sets of iphone. One set I believe, I have damage the battery. It usually does not last more than 1 day. The other set can last 2-3 days. The usage pattern is the same. I think I have damage the battery during initial charging as I did not do a proper 8hrs charging. From then on, even on full charge, you will notice that the green battery indicator does not fill the whole battery icon. I tried to discharge the battery and recharge it full but did not solve the problem. Conclusion, battery damage and need to change or live with it.

How to conserve your battery.
1. Turn off wifi when not in use.
2. Uninstall or turn off ssh
3. Do not use any apps that tend to access the network to check status, e.g. IM, chat, etc
4. Charge your battery using the power adapter not power from USB port. As different notebook, the power from USB is not consistent.
5. Don't turn on the lcd unnecessarily. Esp if in pocket.
6. If u use *SIM adapter, some may drain more battery. If so, change to another.

If you want to change battery, see if any expert bros here can help.
