The battery life pretty much depends on your usage too. Avoid wasting battery capacity unnecessarily like leaving the WiFi and EDGE on when not in use. Of course, there's brightness and the EQ settings too.

there are proper FM transmitters for iPod/iPhone that will also charge the unit when plugged in. Try those that gets the audio signal from the Dock port instead of the earphone jack.

I can't understand if you guys have to money to buy an iphone or ipod touch. why take the risk of buying cheap charger?
Apple is very much against it and if it spoiled and your warranty will be void.

As far as I am aware, cheap things are usually rejects from the production. There are not up to the QC. So I will not
take such a risk.

Its like, driving a BENz or BMW but not willing to pay for parking at the car park. End up have to pay for summon. This is something that I cannot figure out. rclxub.gif

Can we have a consensus?

When everyone first bought their iphone, how long did it last ?

Secondly, does the extra apps drain the battery faster?

Im shocked some can last more than 1 day.. Mine i just got and it wont even last 24hrs. And this on minimal usage cuz i was curious since it died very fast the first time so i tested it by using it very little..

Be sure your SSH service is off. I've heard 'rumours' that it's one of the main causes of battery drain ?

Yeap. Means try to switch off SSH as far as possible when not in use, or you'll have more battery down the drain...

Guys, so u mean there is no standby mode for iphone?
Let say just some minimum applications and some song playing for 1 hour and 80% backlight is it able to last for few days?

Or iphone is practically power monster?

sim solution for US version is programmed to emulate ICCID code of AT&T operator, while for UK version it is to emulate O2 operator. So iPhone that's inserted with SIM solution with ICCID of AT&T will assume that it is inserted with valid AT&T simcard, and vice versa.

Wonder how the battery topic drifted off to X-SIMs... rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif Battery life on 1.1.3 is simply OWNING for me now!!! Back then with 1.1.1, I had a hunch that my battery lifespan was already nearing it's end with the declining usage time per charge cycle. And now it's back to NORMAL!!! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

Sure, mate. You can take my word for it. The only things that seem to decline over each firmware release is the stability with the 3rd party apps. But we all know that they weren't meant to work in the first place, so that's understandable.. wink.gif
