I am sorry but why must top neurologist or whatever always be the one that analyze Ronaldo's kicking? I remember his free kicks were analyzed? Maybe he is just too good? tongue.gif

But in all seriousness, NO, they should not be banned. However, perhaps the ones behind the two goals? Just those two biggrin.gif

Let's look at the bigger issue than the Ronaldo penalty miss, will ya?

I do think it is distracting. Same like playing badminton under a bright light. Some more, the ads is changing / moving.

during penalty kick,it is important to stay focus and concentrate more on the goal.a player like ronaldo should know this and do it.and i think he did it by the look on his face before he kick the ball.i just dont get it.how come a player got distracted by those LED?those neurologist really never play football.

Well, this surely beats the "We can't pick up our players as we were wearing grey fiasco after the 6-3 drubbing by Southmapton."
As for man utd fans, you should be proud... it is a measure of how often you lose that losers like this try to gain cheapo publicity by coming up with a hundred million excuses for you!

brudder , u got typo...

And yea the signboards shudn't be much of a problem, unless it was flashing 100 different colors in 5 seconds la

If Ronaldo score this won't be the excuse of course but frankly LED advertisement quite nice to watch and being widely use in Spain lge and I dun think any big contraversy of nt scoring due to distraction...

The function of LED board is to attract attention...so in theory they will attract attention that include players of course..

Man, do you people watch NBA? When those players are lining up for free throws, see what the spectators behind the hoops are doing?

It doesn't matter man...and again, Ronaldo didn't blame or said anything about the boards.

Sorry, but it's just a plain mis-kick.
I do not know how to explain but Ronaldo's body language after his kick just shows how he realize it was a bad execution of the shot.
Furthermore, the amount of practice he does in training, he does not need to re-adjust or even aim.
It should be done by instinct, unless it's a freekick where lotsa calculations are done, i'm afraid to say that this is just one of Ronnie's plain ol' mis-kicks.
Atleast what i would like to claim is that the effects of the background disturbance is far less of a critical factor if it's a penalty take compared to a freekick.
No excuse, merely human error.

cuz that time Ronaldo never do the "Luis Figo" style while taking the penalty, he just do normal run and kick the ball..that's why he missed it. If he stick back to his usual "Run-stop to confuse GK then kick", he would have scored it
