Dudes all, I'm about to get some new batteries. Both AA and AAA sized and after reading forums etc, I'm think I'll be getting the Sanyo Eneloop batteries

Amazon.com prices - 9.67 4pcs (AA) 14.99 4pcs (AAA)
I'll likely get 8 AA + 4 AAA, anyone want to tumpang the shipment? (++ service charge from me lah ++ Shipping (USA/Msia)) But should be guarantee lower priced than what you can find in LY / Shashinki.

Let me know ASAP as I need to place the order fast, so that it will reach me before I head back to M'sia. (up to 9 days shipping)

Wow nice!
Been asking for prices for this as well (9 days.. hmmm)
Your price is really cheap! I have a friend interested to get as well! Will pm him asap
Btw bro, I need to get the package for 4-slot quick charger with 4AA pcs eneloop batt, how much is that? Tax free price?
How soon should we let u know?

thx bro
*
According to Amazon, it's listed at 22.99, but I don't think you will want that. I read that since it's bought from the US, it's only 110V capable, not 240V so you will also need to get a transformer/upconverter (actually it's something which I already have ~Rm30+ from Jln Pasar) and it's also a slow charger. ~7 hours++. Up to you.

How soon? Well, ASAP. But I plan to order it latest My Wednesday(Your Thursday). Should be Tax Free I believe. (My Canon Bag was also tax free from Amazon)

icic, yeah good point! actually from the site, there is 2 models to choose from, one of which supports 240V but seems that model comes with 2 slot AA charger and 2 slot AAA charger. I don't need AAA
If you can find out more on how to choose the correct model, do let me  know the price
thx
*
It's called MQN06, and if you look closely, it's not 2 AA and 2 AAA, it's dual lah.. meaning, either you fit in 4 AAA or 4AA or 2AA, 2AAA vice versa.
But this package is only offered as 110V one, which is the MQN05. You're out of luck.

BTW, I'm buying this using _my_ own money 1st, no upfront payment from you needed. So, would prefer not to buy it w/ the charger in case you don't want it and I end up with it. (besides, it's easier for me to re-sell it as well)

Wow. Valho, you really raking in a lot of moolah ah? What company you working for? I also want to join.

I spent more than that but most of this is from my allowance from being in the US. Now only left my 77mm UV/Polariser filter.

Some ppl advise no need to get a UV filter cos there's the hood already protecting the front end, and somemore-at 77mm, the filter is expensive lah

@myjunk

Unless u're attaching your hood onto the lens all the time, I suggest you getting a filter. Be it UV or CPL. The filter is much more cheaper compared to the lens..
*
That's what one of my colleague here in US advise me. He said since you have a hood to attach to it, use it and it'll protect the front element!

If I get a cheap UV filter, then this will be not so good since my lens is already so $$. But spending another $$$ on the UV filter is like very $$$ mah. Poor man now man..

Hoya UV-Guard (Coated) - RM 110.
*
This is not a bad price for 77mm. I got mine for RM100 for 58mm, then again, this is the pro1 version.
Any idea on how much is a CPL at 77mm? (I don't think I will get a B+W version, so freaking $$$$ man..

QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Feb 28 2008, 04:35 AM)
Frankly, is the difference that significant?  I got a couple of Hoya , kenko, keep, and so. I don't see much difference in them(or maybe to me). sad.gif
*
Well, if these are for your 70-200 L f2.8 then I say that you _really_ are kiam siap because your lens already $$$$$ and you buy a $ filter only. According to "those" ppl, the thicker ones cause vignetting and what nots.

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 28 2008, 04:54 AM)
i was told that for my 10-20, i should get the thinner CPL (that one cost more) because the thicker ones would cause vignetting. hrm..........
*
Didn't know you have a 10-20. Yeah. .That's what they say.

Hey, you fellas don't sleep ah? Or wake up very early only?

Just FYI : I have some eneloop batteries for sale. Will bring back from US a few packages. Details in this thread http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/640946. Comes with 8AA, 4AAA, 1 Charger(110-240V), 2C and 2D adapter - RM140

My 580 EX II, is virtually silent. Cannot hear the charging up sound at all. Also, it's supposed to be able to strobe up to 20 times continuously after the charge. (I tried, it works!)

wah.. 4 seconds seems like a very long time compared to the 580 ex II (i don't have other flashes to compare with anyhow except for a 20+ year old one)

So, in this case, cannot do burst shots is it? The 580 ex II can burst up to 20times man. The eye also blind man. (perhaps this is a good weapon to bring out to escape from robbers!? keke)

Added on March 6, 2008, 10:57 pmbut given the price, this may be a good buy as a secondary slave flash for those wireless strobist pictures. (went to a US so-called-strobist meetup and learn a bit from them)
