They did win to 1990 world cup, but I think that was one of the worst final ever. One thing good did come out of that world cup, I discovered this little player called Tomas Hassler, a true free kick specialist. Go you tube it and you'll know what I mean.
Ah Germany. Who could forget the likes of Haessler, Brehme, Matthaus, Klinsmann, Voeller then? and also the Euro 96 winning squad with Moeller, Sammer, Klinsmann? memories mate, memories...Germany has always impressed me with their workmanlike teamwork. nationalmannschaft at it's best. organised play, with a tinge of technical ability, IMHO are the recipes of success. too bad they had the lean years when Vogts and Ribbeck took charge though.
I first followed Chelsea during the heydays of Gullit, in addition with the Italian Mob came to town. Cosmopolitan side then and now. that's a good 15 years ago.
And followed Milan's results when they had the Dutch triumvate, right up until they have the new triumvate of Ka-Pa-Ro.
Also, if Milan were to meet Chelsea in any European games, my heart is with Chelsea, simply because I'm a Chelsea supporter first and foremost.
National teams that I follow include Germany and Malaysia, of which the latter no need to explain la. something like a Stephen Chow movie, no matter how good/bad also must watch.
