QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ Apr 21 2008, 12:36 PM)
Okay elf, after finishing 1 pack of the Breeders Celect, my husband says he doesn't like it.

He says between Breeders Celect and Litter Star, he much-much more prefers Litter Star. He says it's hard to scoop cuz the pieces of Breeders Celect are bigger and will not fall through the scoop punya holes which will end up buang a lot more of the Breeders Celect everytime cleaning.

He also said that breeders Celect does not cover the smell very well(which is kindda true cuz I can smell it...) It doesn't dry up as it should... But on this matter I think the weather plays a huge role since Breeders Celect is made of recycled papers and our weather is currently rainy and damp most of the time. That's why it doesn't dry up and cover the smell...

My husband insist that we switch back to Litter Star since the Breeders Celect is finish, however there is some sort of stock/shipment problem with Litter Star thus it is not available at all the regular places I can find it... Pening looking for it yesterday rclxub.gif Clay type is definitely a No-No to us... then the other crystal type brand is Karlie Percato which is more expensive and not worth it for the amount... So I convinced my husband to try OKO...

Yup, I bought OKO then since no Litter Star, don't want Breeders Celect, don't want clay type...

After 1 night, my husband said OKO is not bad and he prefers it than Breeders Celect... He also said that since the particals are smaller, it's easier to scoop for cleaning... Covering smell wise, not sure yet... But the one disadvantage I can see now is that since the particals are smaller and light weight, it flies out of the tray when they dig and making a bit of a mess around the tray area sweat.gif

Anyway, that's the conclusion for Breeders Celect then smile.gif

Will try and see further about OKO, baru 1 night cuba smile.gif

Why tiger boy looked kinda sick?Is he healthy? sad.gif
HHmm, Tiger is perfectly healthy... He is alwys so thin... doh.gif really don't know why, he just can't grow fat... but vet said he is totally ok, reason why he isn't fat is because the food that we are giving (Eagle Pack) don't have high content of fats unlike friskeys / whiskas...

Of course i wish he can grow fat but no choice lo... smile.gif

I have a question. Did u all know where and how does those worms being develope in a cat??

As my Stuart always have worms coming out from his backside... Well, i do deworm them but not really exactly 6 months once. Sometimes once a year. But i always noticed that only Stuart will have worms coming out. The rest, never really seen it before.

Can it be because of food? Or many the cat simply eat other junk food?? WEll, i'm not sure what stuart ate besides his normal catfood... sometimes some of my cats do curi food from dusbin...

i always check on their poo poo to see worms or not. but ofcourse, you need to see them doing the process not after the process. can only see it while the poo poo is fresh.sometimes can see this short small white thinggy moving on the stool.

from your question above, i can see that stuart get the worms from outside activities. since you mention rubbish right. ouch thats alot. when he poo poo inside the house, and suddently another cat poo poo also, the worms that come out from stuart can actually move to the other cat.

outdoor cat has more worms than indoor cat.

for kitten, worms are transferred from them via their mom. during pregnancy and also during nursing the kitten, the worm will transmitted.

for adult cat, worms can be transmitted by:
- ingestion of soil and plant material contaminated with worm
- Exposure to feces containing worm
- Ingesting fleas that harbor worm
- Eating contaminated prey such as mice and birds
- get it from another cat, the worm can travel to your cat.
and etc.

For your info, when you mention "WORMS", you actually need to be specific on what worm.. there are few types of worms in cat:

- Tapeworms (These cat worms are rather flat in appearance and can range in size from less than an inch up to about two and a half yards.)

- Heartworms

- lungworms

- roundworms (These intestinal parasites resemble a piece of spaghetti, and are the most common type of worms found in pets.)

- hookworms (These worms are named for the hook-like teeth they use to attach themselves to your cat's intestinal walls. These parasites feed on blood, causing diarrhea and anemia.)
*

HHmm, thanks for the information. But my cats are indoor cats. They never go out from the house... but there are few stray cats outside my house coz we feed other cats that come along... Maybe transfered from those stray cat outside my house ?

As what you have listed on how worms can be transmitted... stuart definitely don't get it from

- ingestion of soil and plant material contaminated with worm (my cats are indoor cats)
- Exposure to feces containing worm (hmmmm... cannot be thgs in my dusbin since we throw the rubbish out daily)
- Ingesting fleas that harbor worm (i use spot on for my cats, might get fleas once in a while also because of strays outside my hse)
- Eating contaminated prey such as mice and birds (no mice / birds in my hse... kekek)
- get it from another cat, the worm can travel to your cat. (very big chance)
and etc.

As for the type of worms, not so sure... hehe...

Anyway, thanks!

One of them look exactly like a siamese (err, how to spell correctly?)... This siamese by the name of Sam Sam is super manja, she look at me in her eyes full of hope like begging me to keep her... cry.gif cry.gif i feel so bad for them!!! Arghh... (I can't keep coz i have 5 already) How come those ppl so irresponsible simply dump kittens here and there!

Hope to find them good loving owners soon!
