regarding bonds, so far there is direct holding of bonds for individuals (to my knowledge), unless you have a substantial amount of money available (meaning millions). What i can suggest you do is to subscribe to unit trust bond fund, it is as close as you can get to holding bonds.

Before you invest anything, please first invest for you mind first. Try to read up a book, register for a course, go to seminars and do some research first. If not, you continue to lose more instead of regaining what you have lost.

Regarding the bond, the easiest way is to walk into the bank and inquire whatever you need to know. I am sure that the people at the counter there will be happy to assist you.

There is NO direct access to bond for retail (small) investors. You need to be an institutional investor to get the access from investment banks.
Fortunate enough for retail investors, we can have access to Bond Funds through unit trust. There are a few companies involved in unit trust, namely Public Mutual, CIMB, RHB, HLB, Maybank and a lot others.

These bond funds invest directly into several different bonds because they are institutional investors.
Because they invest mostly in bonds (around 98%), the price changes closely correlates with the bond holdings.
Investing in these funds might involve a small charge upfront, so better to enquire about this when you do smile.gif
