been searching high and low for two old skool anime as my old vhs player died and the tapes are destroyed:
1. i don't remember the name but it seems like a race of some sort with multiple giant robots with human pilots, i remember the villain's robot looks like a concorde jet with legs, i think the villain is later revealed to be an android. animation style i think of 70's, thought it was tezuka's work but checking out his wiki didn't find anything there, was dubbed in english if i remember correctly.
2. another is a very serious kind of anime in a steampunk kind of world with airships, the only scene i remember is the captain is blonde and has a golden automail arm she pulls out her fist to reveal nothing inside, animation style very detailed like robot carnival.

been googling like mad can't find it.
i remember a really old anime/cartoon.
about robots racing.
the artwork style is still very cartoony like arale/doraemon.
the only robot i remember was the villian's which looks like a concorde jet with chicken type legs.

just finish watching young black jack, good story writing, not much on the operation details as in previous series as it is not a mystery type drama as previously, it is more story driven during his younger years.
