PC (Dvd ROM) > Sound card > DAC > Aego M.
or
PC (Dvd ROM) > DAC > Aego M.

*Aego have build in amp, so Zero can work as a DAC to decode digital data from Dvd ROM/ Sound card (your source) and convert into analog form which can be use by amp inside ur Aego. At the same time, Zero DAC also work as a tonal enhancer by processing the digital data more precisely to provide better digital to analog data for your amp.

(Set up B)
Normal set-up (without DAC),

PC (Dvd ROM) > Sound card> Aego M.

*sound card convert digital to analog and analog goes in ur Aego build in amp.
*Coaxial output or spdif port: Transfer digital data
*RCA port: Transfer analog data.

Now clear? 

p/s:

If you alrdy have a good sound card, then might not need Zero,
If you're using build-in/cheapo sound card, then Zero definately will provides u better signature.
Sound card + Zero, i cant tell. Never done this b4.. but i guess not much different (for music playing).

may i know wat is d different characteristic n function for DAC opamp and headamp opamp?
is it d Preamp mode for playing headphone?
is it if i off d Preamp mode will blow up my headphone? 

Both DAC and headamp opamp is just like part of the module, some said it's there to tune the sound, so you could change them to tune the sound you wanted.

Preamp mode is not for amping headphone, preamp is like a booster to power amp. Detailed and technical explanation please google it. For headphone playing, just switch to headphone mode will do.

Switching around mode will not blow up your headphone but it's advice to it  with the volume turned to zero

in front got 3 buttons.....

optical, coaxial and phone.

the phone button is the headphone mode la.
the preamp thing is automatically activated when u press the phone button.
