i not sure it correct o not but when i touch heatsink when idle dont feel warm at all... b4 i can use stock sempron hsf to cold @ 3.1.. but 3.2 will hang and restart.. the temp that time is 50+

previous bios has locked multiplier for my 6000+... so it's stuck auto at x15... now it's back to unlocked... other changes is not yet known.. coz now using stock speed... |

I have just acquired a cheap budget mobo, a rare new brand called J&W. What amazes me is that an RM175 mobo with solid caps for the cpu area. Gonna set up in a few moments and check out the BIOS.

damn~ cant make the review for J&W JWT 570 SLi... after complete the assembly, then my fren do some stupid stunt, sparking his PSU (cap ayam).. now have to wait till tomorrow to buy new PSU.. coz his PSU died.. not 100% died.. under powered...

I would like to ask anyone knows about MSI mobo? My rig spec : amd2 4000+ MSI K9N NEO Corsair PC5300 667mhz 1Ghz Currently I had oc to 230fsb, and ram i set at bios is 266 divider... i had tried max i go wif 230 fsb...any idea or guide can oc higher? or my mobo no high ocable? |

IIANM, you using AM2 right?? The options available only 400, 533, 667 and 800 divider. Post CPU-z screenie here. A lot of sifu can help you out of it -pWs- |

Biostar have update their website, added TA780G in list
but........look at the spec and pic, really big upset 
1) Don't have the GDDR2 by looking at the pic 2) satu biji solid state cap sudah hilang  3) Power & Reset buttons have been taken out (OMG, really cannot believe this )4) one 3pin JFAN socket only ( what the......... )5) the CMOS battery...so special standing one

Just tried to overclock ram by using single stick only
at 2.6vdimm, i get this 
check the ram speed, 1320MHz this is the speed that i couldn't get by using dual channel mode, no matter how much vdimm i pump looks like i have no choice but use single stick for clockspeed at 3.8GHz above with 667 divider edited: wanted to try 1333MHz, but the bloody TA770 got handicapped HTT option when i choose 333HTT , it goes to 331; once i choose 334 , it jumps to 338HTT This post has been edited by dblooi: Jan 24 2008, 12:25 AM |

My rig spec : amd2 4000+ MSI K9N NEO Corsair PC5300 667mhz 1Ghz Currently I had oc to 230fsb, and ram i set at bios is 266 divider... i had tried max i go wif 230 fsb...any idea or guide can oc higher? or my mobo no high ocable? |

No la fosz, if join darkside later wallet pun become dark, somemore got hole lagi. Take their e2160 pun cost around the same as F3 3800, but their mobo is killing lorr, rm350 for abit fatal1ty iinm. Nway, wanna ask dblooi sumthin. Why everytime i try to us 667 divider with loose timing 5-5-5-15, i cant seem to OC my old brisby higher. The ram seems to need high voltage eventho at 400Mhz speed. Why??? |

Yeah it's kinda hard for you to get what i asked w/o SS huhu. My brisby with cartack aidy. Now i proc-less. Im askin this coz me planning to use 667 divider on my new F3(blom sampai lagi dah pikir macam2 haha). Sokay bro, once i got prob when im oc my f3 nnt i'l ask u again with SS.

Last time I read about HTL, it is better to keep it below 1GHz. Above that may cause instability. But then I see most AM2 OCers nowadays OC above 1GHz

hehe. Seronok ko lenjan proc lama aku cartack. It can never boot at 3.2Ghz unless ko pakai WC or Dice. i almost managed to boot at 3.2 yesterday(b4 handed the proc to him). Ko lenjan dry ice kat lab mekanikal la wan haha.

that is 2.3GHz, and for Orleans 3000+ it is pretty good already. last time i use the same proc too, but only get to reach until 2.2GHz. maybe due to limitation of oc features in my old mobo

So, my hypothesis was right. If we use built-in VGA, it does reduces RAM overclockability. My DDR2 was limited to 550mhz max, adding Vdimm never helped. Now I have a PCI-e card already.... my RAM easily do 580mhz with 2.3Vdimm only.

I need some suggestion or opinion regarding about Liquid Cooling. Yesterday just got my 3800+ windsor F3 bought from xixo_12 so I were thinking to go beyond 3.6Ghz with it. So currently I'm still decide which board & Liquid Cooling system that able perform such task. I have read up about Thermaltake Big Water 735 & 745 dan CoolerMaster Aquagate from some forum & reviews about them. I have to say that I dont really favor them based from the reviews. So, if any of you guys have a better suggestion on which water cooling system that I should look up into, I would appreciate it. Please dont suggest me to get a CoolIT Freezone. as my budget is not huge (roughly around RM450). what can I get with Roughly RM400-500? just for liquid cooling system. |

(Impossible to top up ice every few minutes for weeks right? ) For chilled water cooling , that's less expensive as you don't have to get whole set of watercooler. You need a pump , a waterblock and two tubes , that's all. I just enable my CPU Offset <increase 200mV>in Advanced Voltage and find out it can now run at lower vcore for higher speed. However, in CPU-Z and Asus Probe, it show increased vcore and temperature. I am wondering what is that function for?
I used to get vcore 1.435v and cpu-z would show 1.488v. Now, my 1.435v show 1.568v in cpu-z. However, I am reaching a good 3.304Ghz with it. Not sure if it stable but showing better signs than before. So, guys, do you have this option in your BIOS and do you enable it? |

NEED HELP !
Anyone experience proc dies on them ? Story : Yesterday after lapping my proc and hsf, I assembled back my rig. And it starts, but couldnt boot. Means all the fans are running but nothing appeared on the screen. Is this because of dead proc ? Or another technical issue that can be solved ? Tried lotsa thing right now but still. Gosh, tolong tolong =( |

Still cant, I'll try to clean it up and change the thermalpaste, and assemble the rig back.And no burning mark tho. Pray for the best.
Anyway, during this I realized my TA690G, the two red LED on the mobo, both were off. Anyone facing similar problem ? Going to put everything back, pray pray =( |

got book of ta690g?? search dalam 2.. u will see the cmos clear section..

senang2 cabut je bateri tu, usah susah payah settin d jumper.

if 2 led is no light meant CPU/ Chipset error , if left led oni appear meant memory error and if right meant GC error.

Thanks guys. After resetting CMOS, apparently its booting. I tried ram,psu, gc, dvdrom and it couldnt do anything about it tho.
Is it because before lapping my 4000+ at 2.9ghz @ 1.35v, after lapped I put back my proc and could it be my proc cant cope with the oc setting before ? Now already reset and everything goes well. Thanks for helping. Owh yeah before I forget - lapping proc + hsf + sanyo denki h series from AllnGap decrease my idle at almost 7' degree celcius. Will post up the idle before and after,later after I oc back. Thanks guys for the technical support. Today will check UTP post office to see whether my proc dah arrive ke blom. Have been dissappointed with the seller aoinatsume. Didt repl my msg at all. He told me to pm me the tracking number pon he didnt. Wanted to call him but no credit plak.
Nevertheless, hope the proc will arrive to day tho. |
