MCP78 is from nvidia while 780G is from AMD
TA780G is the cost down version one

choose 16 up 16 down for better performance
MCP65 is referring your mobo chipset

edited: am2 means the proc. So the whole thing means chipset to proc link
16 bit both ways mean your chipset to proc link has larger bandwidth compare to 8 bit both ways

actually i not really sure as i use stock speed ( or underclocked clock speed) for daily usage
But experience tell me that 1200 HTL runs 0.1sec faster than 900HTL in super Pi 1M

some guys claim that hardisk kong after oc HT link
how it kong? Hardisk cannot use anymore? Or system file corrupted?
What kinda file system that you are using? NTFS or FAT32?
sometimes unstable oc can cause this (system file corruped),
after u change back to stock speed then everything is good
But for FAT32 , it's damn troublesome sometimes ( may lead to hardisk kong as you mentioned earlier)
and i believe that it's not HT link oc that cause that,
it's probably your overclock is already out of the hardware's limitation ( your proc, mobo or ram )

Well, first of all , you have to ask yourself
You need the watercooler for short benching or you need it for long term usage?
I assume that your target is to overclock to 3.6GHz above.
Sorry to say but i don't think normal watercooler capable to push the clockspeed to that high.
We are using chilled water cooling in order to get 3.7GHz above.
and that definitely cannot be used for long term.
(Impossible to top up ice every few minutes for weeks right? )

For chilled water cooling , that's less expensive as you don't have to get whole set of watercooler.
You need a pump , a waterblock and two tubes , that's all.
Strong and cheap pump can be obtained easily from fish shop.
submarine pumps are recommended for chilled water cooling
For waterblock, get any moderate above level waterblock will do.
You can try to seek for those jet impingement waterblocks.
Pressurized water flow in the mini channel and definitely you get enhanced cooling performance

Some says isolation is a must for chilled water cooling, but for me i don't think so.
Just let the motherboard stand 90 degree and i doubt that any condensed water can make contact with your motherboard. ( The method was demonstrated by bro DJ.ericzzz a while ago)

Of course, you can always go for whole set of water cooler for long term,
and take off some parts for chilled water cooling when needed.
In that case, you can have a look at swiftech store.
Their waterblocks and pumps are well-designed and performance proved
(Especially the D5 pump , lord of all pumps )
Basically can forget about C**lermaster and Th**malt*ke watercooling products
The price for product is high end but the quality / performance is...ahem ahem

use external RAID card
that board still damn healthy b4 i RAID my hardisk
anyway i think it is just a special case.
i try google for 690G RAID 0,
many people are using it and their mobo still good
