that is 2.3GHz, and for Orleans 3000+ it is pretty good already. last time i use the same proc too, but only get to reach until 2.2GHz. maybe due to limitation of oc features in my old mobo

and i believe that it's not HT link oc that cause that,
it's probably your overclock is already out of the hardware's limitation ( your proc, mobo or ram )
check this out, 1800MHz HT Link on a K8 proc.  icon_rolleyes.gif
my hardisk still damn healthy until now  brows.gif

i manage to push 2.5Ghz with 1250 HTT... icon_rolleyes.gif

but failed to get higher HTT when pushing to 2.6 Ghz...only get 1040 only... sweat.gif

any setting that i forgot?already increase Vcore n Vdimm...or wrong timing? doh.gif

zhen^wei here already showing BE. Is that the highest you can go ? Pump more vcore to see whether it can touch 3.5 or not brows.gif

no have proper CPU Cooler for my tiny casing. the tempeature quite high if i pump to 3.3ghz. not stabil if 3.4ghz.
later i try again

just increase the multiplier and add vcore. easy for this BE

So, my hypothesis was right. If we use built-in VGA, it does reduces RAM overclockability. My DDR2 was limited to 550mhz max, adding Vdimm never helped. Now I have a PCI-e card already.... my RAM easily do 580mhz with 2.3Vdimm only.

hey guys,

I need some suggestion or opinion regarding about Liquid Cooling.

Yesterday just got my 3800+ windsor F3 bought from xixo_12 so I were thinking to go beyond 3.6Ghz with it.
So currently I'm still decide which board & Liquid Cooling system that able perform such task.

I have read up about Thermaltake Big Water 735 & 745 dan CoolerMaster Aquagate from some forum & reviews about them.
I have to say that I dont really favor them based from the reviews.
So, if any of you guys have a better suggestion on which water cooling system that I should look up into, I would appreciate it.

Please dont suggest me to get a CoolIT Freezone. as my budget is not huge (roughly around RM450).
what can I get with Roughly RM400-500? just for liquid cooling system.

that is on stock i assume. i see 200 bus and 1000 HTL

go some more brows.gif ah, is my mobo calling for BE?

Well, first of all , you have to ask yourself
You need the watercooler for short benching or you need it for long term usage?
I assume that your target is to overclock to 3.6GHz above.
Sorry to say but i don't think normal watercooler capable to push the clockspeed to that high.
We are using chilled water cooling in order to get 3.7GHz above.
and that definitely cannot be used for long term.
(Impossible to top up ice every few minutes for weeks right? laugh.gif )

For chilled water cooling , that's less expensive as you don't have to get whole set of watercooler.
You need a pump , a waterblock and two tubes , that's all.
Strong and cheap pump can be obtained easily from fish shop.
submarine pumps are recommended for chilled water cooling
For waterblock, get any moderate above level waterblock will do.
You can try to seek for those jet impingement waterblocks.
Pressurized water flow in the mini channel and definitely you get enhanced cooling performance

Some says isolation is a must for chilled water cooling, but for me i don't think so.
Just let the motherboard stand 90 degree and i doubt that any condensed water can make contact with your motherboard. ( The method was demonstrated by bro DJ.ericzzz a while ago) laugh.gif

Of course, you can always go for whole set of water cooler for long term,
and take off some parts for chilled water cooling when needed.
In that case, you can have a look at swiftech store.
Their waterblocks and pumps are well-designed and performance proved
(Especially the D5 pump , lord of all pumps notworthy.gif )
Basically can forget about C**lermaster and Th**malt*ke watercooling products
The price for product is high end but the quality / performance is...ahem ahem rclxub.gif
