Honestly, your friend made a wrong decision, (on my way of look lar). Not offending.
This few days I've been reading and reading, (yeah, I planned to buy the 6400+ BE) but yesterday, I have go to buy a 5000+ BE

Why? I could dump those extra money for a super cooler. OC till burn...

6400+ BE comes with a default X16 multplier which is max out already for most of the board(maybe not on DFI) so I think your friend can downgrade the multiplier only AC Freezer 64 pro I wonder how high that cooler can take to support your friend's OC proc.

so if temp over 80c then proc still can hand it ...and other way this proc is 0.065nm...is very cool proc

Im noob in OC. I just got this new 4400+ in Gigabyte GA-M51GM-S2G Board. Last time I cant set my fsb because it was locked so I updated to the new bios(GA-M51GM-S2G F11) and I manage to OC my 3500+ to around 15% (2.5ghz). My friend ask me to set the fsb:dram ratio to 1:1 but I cant find it in my board. Where to set this thing? Maybe its a  cheapo board so can set that thing? or I must update to the latest Bios? So attached herewith a S/S of my CPU-Z. Hope sifus-sifus here can help me.

Last night I set with Easy Tune 5 to 20% Oc and my cpu straight restart =(. So last night I set my FSB from 230 to 240 x 11. And I test it with SP2004 x 2 = 100% load & Memtest it and stable for 8 hours. The temp for cpu around 39-41celcius while the system 51celcius. (Im in aircond room)

& Powerlogic PSU that come with the Casing (Magnum250?)

barton is K7, this thread is about K8 DDR2. There is no 1:1 in K8 DDR2 because the memory controller runs at the same speed as clockspeed, and there is no way you can run 1:1 with this system unless you can run your memory at the same speed at your cpu clockspeed.
