Just got my 1st DSLR not long ago
some casual shots during a morning trip to a local chinese village =)

Came across this meaningful midget in a small kopitiam...the shopkeeper actually
prepared several glasses for ease of vision for the old people =)

Althought some of the picture i doesnt get what you're trying to show but still it's a great pictures which with great pp skills , and two thumbs up for you. wink.gif

wah. upgraded to dSLR d? lol. Nice shots dude. Anyway, what kind of images does the 18-55mm IS produced? Is it sharp? Just wanna know how is it like compared to the 18-55mm kit. =.="

hehe, shot was on left side. driver on right side.

anyway.....

i love shot #2, pity a car was there. it would be nice if you waited a bit and snapped again without the car around.

#4 is nice too, would be better if you can walk up ahead a little and snapped without the wires. no motorcyclist also nmind. smile.gif

OMG! I love ur shots! especially the ol man potrait and the last one.. colors are greatly balanced. still amazingly sharp at 1/30s.. good lens afterall that 18-55IS.. biggrin.gif so what else did u do in PS to get that nice look of ur photo?

18-55mm IS is a sharp lens...but it doesnt do well in macro at f5.6 wide open even though at 1:3 magnification
tats the only drawback. set aside small apertures the lens is great overall. got it for 400 bucks from my fren's 40D kit tongue.gif

well i imposed partial desaturation of the picture, add a lil sepia effect, abit of lomo vignetting effect(not tat obvious)...tats all i could remember icon_rolleyes.gif
