QUOTE(sHawTY @ Feb 14 2008, 06:55 PM) That's because you don't have one in your hand. 100% ? I doubt it's really 100%. If it is.. I think Nasa would kill for such technology.PCP&C PSU's might not have the aesthetics like the others, but, the performance, it's the best, no other PSU's can beat PCP&C. Most real powered PSU's can only provide 75~85% efficiency, but PCP&C, it's a lot higher. PCP&C PSU's provide 1XX% power efficency. Have it in your hand, then you'll learn to love it. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Feb 14 2008, 08:44 PM) Heh, if you think i'm lying, why don't you ask my sifu himself? Extracted from Wikipedia:His knowledge in electric & electronic is very deep. He's a respected forumer here when talking about electric & electronics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_power_supply " Energy efficiency Computer power supplies are generally about 70-75% efficient;[1] to produce 75 W of DC output they require 100 W of AC input and dissipate the remaining 25 W in heat. Higher-quality power supplies can be over 80% efficient; higher energy efficiency uses less power directly, and requires less power to cool as well. As of 2007, 93%-efficient power supplies are available.[2] Resonant-transition or quasi-resonant switching regulators could achieve over 90% energy efficiency, and also reduce radio frequency interference.[citation needed] It's important to match the capacity of a power supply to the power needs of the computer. The energy efficiency of power supplies drops significantly at low loads. Efficiency generally peaks at about 50-75% load. The curve varies from model to model (for examples of what this looks like see the test reports of efficient models found on the 80 PLUS website [1]). One rule of thumb is that a power supply that's over twice the required size will be significantly less efficient, and waste a lot of electricity. " |

i read somewhere that we can not crossfire 3870 with 3850 and the performance is very close to crossing both 3870.

8800GT is still better than 9600GT, especially on high resolution.

The black cover stickers are to prevent dust from getting into your drive and thus damage your head when it tries to read or write on the media but instead it hits the dust. U can try to remove all the stickers... I guarantee you it will not last more than 6 months.

is it because 3870 is running DirectX10 while 2900XT running DirectX9?
