The MetStyle tissue is from the same supplier as Logitech, MCL. So shop selling Logitech would also sell the tissue I guess.

QUOTE(vincentlaw @ Jan 23 2008, 10:45 PM) I know a friend who is selling dolls locally, get them at very cheap price, all 4 for not more than RM150. Small surprise present for my GF. The biggest one is big enough for her to hug every night when she sleep. Here's what I got today. Another new HSF to play with after CoolerMaster Gemin II ![]() Removed the push pin ![]() This method is much more better than push pin. Thermalright LGA 775 bolt-thru kit I got last time, also used this on my Thermaltake BigTyphoon VX. ![]() Finished installation ![]() ![]() Somehow, the temp is same with my lapped BT VX on both idle and load. I expect it to be much cooler. Let the thermal paste sink for a few days and see got any improvement or not, else re-apply thermal paste. This post has been edited by Hyde`fK: Jan 24 2008, 12:18 AM |

I don't have a casing, so don't know how it will performs. I normally spread the thermal paste all over the IHS of proc evenly for maximum contact with HSF base, shouldn't be a problem. Wonder how much cooler it will be after lapped. Anyone have already lapped theirs?

I got the 2nd last unit, don't know who grab the last unit. My HSF just nicely touch the NB heatsink, no need to bent upwards, luckily. You may consider changing the NB heatsink.
My temp is idle 40c, full CPU load 63c [small test priming, not blend] @ 3.5Ghz 1.36v after full load in aircon room, naked system. Using AC MX-2. Still deciding whether to lap it or not since I find mine quite flat. Ordered TX-2, will reapply and test the temp again. This post has been edited by Hyde`fK: Jan 24 2008, 12:54 AM |

The fin just touch the NB heatsink without even have to bend upwards. Same case with my Blood Iron, also got the damn sticker. Will update you the temperature with TX-2.

We all get from ckhoong. Right now both S923 and S1283 are out of stock. You may have to wait for it. Better book earlier, many have place booking for new stock.

Actually wish to grab a Hyper 212 for testing but local distro don't have stock, end up with Gemin II and Xigmatek S1283. Hyper 212 performance are quite good too, just wish that I can test it out.

QUOTE(vincentlaw @ Jan 28 2008, 09:29 PM) hmmm i heard from ppl that if u watch movies from 22" it will be terrible... especially with those movie files of 700mb and those .rmvb file which 300mb+...... only movies above 1.4gb is okay... and if u get 22" means ur native res will be 1600x1050 and u might hope u can play game on ur native to get nicer graphic so u need really really good card.... new GTS or SLI GT... coz im using my graphic card to play with 19" with quadcore and there is still lag in some game with max settings at 1440x900......... Depends on the movie quality. Because of 22" higher dpi compared to 20", the pixel will appear bigger, not to mention you will notice the pixel if you sit close to it. Same case for 27" and 24". |
