QUOTE(168257061 @ Jan 31 2008, 06:03 PM) Just received the CCFL tube...its a twin light kit... CCFL tube is very fragile and for that reason, some of our forumer bulker aka seller wouldn't do any courier or postage service for that particular item. Remember our good uglyvamp, he's one of those that wouldn't courier a CCFL tube no matter how's the packing.Unfortunately, when i open it and saw 1 of the ccfl tube pecah Didnt throw or do something hard on it...niclas just seal it very tight...but still dont understand how come the tube pecah... Anyway, you can goto the Pos Office and try claim for it. If I'm not mistaken they provide "insurance" for the items under their courier service but max value of one type of item is determined. Try ask, wouldn't harm |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Feb 12 2008, 03:16 PM) quoted and bolded for truth... Seagate Barracuda's 7200.11 is using 250GB per platter drive. So u could only see the option of 500GB, 750GB and 1TB at this time. I just bought the 500GB 7200.11 32MB cache for RM445 and it runs even cooler than my so-called-cold-and-quiet drive Samsung Spinpoint main reason i buy seagate is for the 5 year warranty as opposed to WD's 3 year warranty. also currently looking for the 7200.11 320gb Seagate HDD...so far i see talks of 500gb only. (the one posted before is the 7200.10). the 7200.11 is supposed to be fast...hence why im looking for it EDIT: crap... saw the webbie and 7200.11 only got 500gb n above |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Feb 13 2008, 06:19 PM) well....heres a good reason why.... from pczone pricelist i downloaded from hardwarezone.com.my Honestly I been thinking of getting another Seagate 500GB 7200.11 32MB Cache NCQ for RAID-0, but well... I doesn't need that huge amount of space yet. Currently I'm suffering crash problem with my system. I wonder it is my OS corrupted or the HDD is faulty itself. Praying hard it isn't the HDD, else I'll need to sacrifice some time and money to make a trip to LYP for exchange or RMA purpose 1TB WD10000KS 3GBps SATAII 16MB - RM990/pc * space u get.. 1TB..performance... like normal SATA II HDD la... 500GB WD5000KS 3GBps SATAII - RM375/pc (buy 2 pieces) * space u get 1TB...setup RAID0 and performance almost equals a Raptor. total spent RM750 total saved RM240. if u buy the new Seagate 7200.11 500GB it costs RM445 (x2=890) and still save RM100. the 7200.11 alone already supposed to be very fast. imagine if 2 of those in RAID0 sadly my 320gb are 7200.10. the 7200.11 doesnt come with 320gb. i dun need any bigger and i dun wanna spend the money for any bigger...the 2 HDDs i bought are to replace dying HDDs in seperate rigs. just wanna try RAID0 while i still have 2 new HDDs. BTW, your current 320GB running on SATA IDE or AHCI mode? You still got floppy disk drive with you to install the SATA driver? My FDD kaputed long ago and I didn't bother to replace till now I'm looking for one to install driver only BTW, that cheaper WD 500GB GreenPower is actually a low performance HDD. Not much deal if used for storage, but system will be otherwise |

QUOTE(ianho @ Feb 16 2008, 01:30 AM) rm1199 is no warranty 1 u know? It's warranty from the shop for 1 year only, not Asus Msia. If u want Asus warranty set it's rm1299 n rm1399 for the 1 with webcam. I had no choice but to buy this no warranty set coz no other shops had pink color. Regarding the warranty issue, it is because it's imported unit from Taiwan? I checked regarding this matter previously, and my friend told me he once send to Asus Malaysia for warranty issue, they let him in. Other cases I'm not quite sure |

QUOTE(dfcloud @ Feb 16 2008, 01:51 AM) owh.. Erm... brother, this lappy isn't like other lappy which can play games, etc. This is a low performance lappy which offering mobility at the most.i never thought the warranty would be like that. but 1.4k is still a good price for a lappy to me me noob at lappy QUOTE(ianho @ Feb 16 2008, 01:52 AM) Well, I'm not too concerned about the warranty issue as 1 of my sponsors is also distro for Asus. I just wanted to warn normal end users. Great... Ianho memang lain sikit selalu This post has been edited by vearn27: Feb 16 2008, 02:00 AM |

Huh? You mean some pendrive with formatted virtual floppy drive partition like Pendrive's ones usually got B: within it? It's better, more reliable, and offcourse, alot faster than using the old and antique floppy drive. Really can work? |
