so far, creative xfi sound card dun hav any optical port for audio, unless u hav digital audio converter, plug in da flexi jack/microphone jack,
creative digital output only support 2.1 speaker,esp in gaming,if u hav surround speaker, let say 5.1. only working in stereo.
Creative digital i/o upgrade only support 2.1 input/ out put
while razer supports to 7.1 digital audio in gaming.

digital signal from the sound card will decoded in Logitech Z5500 through optical, DTS, dolby digital surround,
equalizer?in gaming/movies i think no need equalizer, in music , yes. am i right?

the major different should be: creative card cannot run properly in Vista.
