I feel guilty for not having sent a donation yet, although at my last attempt the bank wanted a 30$ something dollar charge on a 60$ transfer. blink.gif

I could send a postal money order maybe, Paypal dunno if accepted to open account from Thailand, so many frauds here companies are veeery picky..

I am ready to double the amount and cover/sponsor for a driver who is studying or can't really afford the server fee. I had actually thought earlier of sponsoring young man TheBest but it seems he has pushed himself out of a good occasion. doh.gif

250 MYR is my contribution.

PM me how I can send it, credit card or money/postal order to one of you personally or Fragnetics, there's a postal office just down the street, easy also. I believe Madnoren runs a business, I could just give him my credit card info.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to try and connect to the MSR server now, I dunno anymore what's good and what's not, all I have is the original MSR MOD before add-ons appreared. I did not add anything else that appeared afterwards, let others try and uninstall later brows.gif . laugh.gif

*fail: Looks like I need a track pack, tried decoding the last few bahasa Malay pages but failed miserably, tried FTP no go, same for MSr server no one left on there and missing track.

If anyone can link me to the track pack tonight I would appreciate, It`s best for me to download at night.

The transition from FSONE to MSR mod to me is like racing in slow motion, I think it's mostly about the brain and muscles learning to do it all slower than what I'm used to, like when you go at boost 10 in FSONE, your brain and muscles have to sort of replicate driving like a fast forward re-play with the gear changes and shifting, braking. MSR mod is the opposite to me, but on top I have to adapt to the slower response and lower performance of a tin top car compared to open wheelers.

That's my view since I 've always raced and preferred open wheelers and haven't got much experience with these cars.

The learning curve is frustrating, that means it works and I'm having fun! rclxm9.gif
Laps laps and more laps is the only way, and I love the custom paint job bro Izzy Osbourne did for my car rclxms.gif

Added on January 30, 2008, 2:06 pmOh, I was there but missed 9 laps of the test race last night, technical difficulties with a baby's digestive system and a dirty diaper. rclxub.gif

Oh i see... i thot you have problems tongue.gif Did you experience any lag, Penzman?

Probably was laggy, I joined test race at last lap.
Chat was slow to show my typed messages and ping was around 300 the whole few hours I was connected to the server.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had never seen that moving sky texture with thunderclouds before, simply amazing. Even more amazing would be when they figure out how to have these clouds come overhead and rain, and leave, and rain again, dry track then wet then dry again or only certain sections, real weather will be cool to have someday. It may actually slow down fast drivers on dry and see slower drivers do better on wet, closer to real immersion.

There has been strange problems with the internet here for the last two days, may be affecting surrounding countries and other parts of S-E Asia as well.
Very slow especially in daytime, even gmail sometimes won t open.

That may be what we re looking at with server for last two days?

Added on January 31, 2008, 4:20 amJust read that a severed cable has shut down internet services in Egypt and that India is down 60%, could be that services are somehow rerouted and causing severe congestion, especially from India.

Same happened over here last year when a cable was severed following an earthquake all the way over in Taiwan, lasted a few weeks.

Start a race week-end, then, in the chat window, type ISI_BABYFACTORY.
When you exit the race week-end you should see your credits climb up over 2 million.
Buy all the cars you want, when you run out of cash, do the ISI_BABYFACTORY again.

Added on January 31, 2008, 1:07 pmMacau circuit: I damaged my car so much in formation lap that I decided to start from the pit, 1st race I was disqualified for not waiting long enough in pit, second race I waited until you had done more than half the first lap and decided to leave the pit light (doesn't work) and even the spsotter doesn't work, doesn't know when to tell you GO GO GO, because I left the pit and wasn't DQ this time. blink.gif

penz, when u start from pit lane, u must let all racers 'pass' 1st sector line, n then u r free to go flex.gif

Although I have the position/location indicator showing on my bottom screen, how do I tell when the last car has left the 1st sector?

Live Timing only begins after one completed lap...

Can`t use Live Timing to know when to go from pits as it only shows sector results after a fully completed lap, not as sectors go by.

Macau pit light is dead, also, spotter doesn`t work there it seems. I`ve had spotter tell me when to go on other tracks when starting from pit.

Not whining about this, I`m just trying to knock out known bugs on some tracks before the season starts. I prefer giving us plenty of time to find a fix or replace events.

I smell (a) corrupt Chinese official/s and then loss of face prevented them for allowing the appeal.
Amateurs were overruled by the FIA laugh.gif

They should investigate further on the Chinese side and follow with severe sanctions. vmad.gif

Next they`ll accuse you of using lead tainted fuel. laugh.gif

Added on January 31, 2008, 7:35 pmIf someone has a fast connection, try downloading Macau.
This version is for rFactor and is named 0.9c, no idea if it`s the same we have or improved.

Is there any First Person Shooting in COH?
I bought it, installed it and when I saw the tutorial looked like strategy. I closed the game and uninstalled it as I just can't stand strategy games.

I may step aside for season 5 BMW but would surely be back for F1 season 6, my server contribution would be the same.

Absolutely nothing against anyone in MSR or anything, but my heart just isn't there in a tin top.
I practice for a while and get bored too quickly, same happened with Megane and others I've tried over the years, whatever view I use. Maybe Nascar was the only tintop that ever got the most attention and even then... No eagerness to race unless it's open wheel.

Had a go last evening at F1 1988 online and was immediately hooked even though it's in early demo stage, I know deep down I'm an open wheeler driver. Tin tops are just too slow to keep me entertained and interested for long.

I was also invited a while ago to join legends-league.com, they'll run Grand Prix 1979 modified and F3 Euro 2007 mod, both open wheelers. Seasons only overlap towards the end with MSR. Very tempted.

Hmm.. hmm.gif  hmm.gif  not full throttle and spiking is all caused by the pot meter inside the pedal nod.gif  nod.gif
The pot meter is not turning to its full when you press the pedal. Pot meter is just like the volume knob on a radio.

Bro izznatta helped me with this. He glued the pot meter on its placed to make sure it doesn't loose when the pedal is pressed. It did worked for me...for some time of course..hehehe tongue.gif  tongue.gif

Unless you doesnt want to open up your pedal...maybe the guys here can help. Any idea guys???

DON"T GLUE YOUR POTS!
If you miss...
I put in a sponge, the ones you use for washing pots and pans, keeps the pots from moving around and mostly one pot's wires from moving the other pot.
It's in one of those MOMO fix pages.
Also, lots of dust and debris finds it's way in there.
I find I have to open the pedals every 2nd month or so.

Even if one can manage without a steering wheel, there's no way you can have the finesse you can obtain with wheel and pedals, like following a car inches away at 300kph and slowing down for a corner together still staying inches away, or not swaying when side by side.
