80 when idle?? sure that make your pc shut down..mine only 40 idle and 47 max when running rfactor....u should clean the dust and reapply thermal paste.

122 degrees? If you put a hand on 122 you will know how it feels...... It can't be, it would fried the cpu already. BIOS dood, you can google for it depends type of mobo u use.

yeah...will melt the solder also....100 degrees already cair i think...

The only processing unit in a desktop capable of taking such temp is a GPU. And even that is considered hot and will burn your hand if you touch it.

No need, update the BIOS. Dont worry for some reason 1 out of 100 mobos will report way incorrect temp. And this doesn't matter as long as the heatsink is warm.

Nope BIOS is not always true. It is close sometimes......

then..could it be virus in my computer.?showing false temperature at bios?

Nope, it's just the hardware sometimes acting strangely. A bios update could cure the issue.

usually u never trust the bios readings.....always try to use current software or better still go for a manual reading instrument. if software everest ultimate is one of the best choice of s/ware u can use to see ur temp readings.

However as others have said if the HSF is not as hot at what the temp readings show. than only its an error on some side of the mobo itself. Lets say at 122 celcius that should be so hot u can fry an omelette on it
