It is a 2007 film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler musical of the same name. The film stars Johnny Depp in the title role, in his sixth collaboration with director Tim Burton. Helena Bonham Carter also stars as Mrs. Lovett. The film was released in the United States on December 21, 2007 and will be released in the United Kingdom on the 25th of January. It won the 65th Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) and Best Actor (Comedy or Musical).

I saw the trailer and it looked interesting. I'm not really into musicals but this one looks different with its blood and gore.

Just a lil bit... The slitting the victim's throat is pretty much censored. But watching Johnny Depp sings in the big screen is really something. He could be a singer next.
