I might want to sell off my RX-V1800 to get Onkyo SR875 as someone offering 875 at very very attractive price. Wonder how much could 1800 fetch considering it is less than a month old.

define very very attractive price.... hmm.gif

what's your whole setup? Care to share?
*
sure... just ordered 5.1 Canton Chrono speaker set (507 + 505 + 505 + 525). Speakers arriving this weekend so i ordered the Onkyo 875 to pair with them. Actually bought the 875 without any audition, just based on several good reviews in whathifi forum.

Source is PS3 for now and using existing Samsung CRT 29" TV tongue.gif

Why stick with my TV? Because this is my temporary setup as i'm living in my rental apartment while my actual apartment is ready in Dec so.... just enjoy sound quality 1st.

really looking forward to my new toyz.. hope they don't disappoint smile.gif

230W rite?
*
230W @ their 6ohm rating... not that high at full load run (maybe range of 150 to 160W).

Iman, any new toys lately?

The 875 is very tempting due to its HQV Reon chip, not to mention its other rich features
*
the reon chip is for pic upscaling to 1080p rite?

What is the market price for 875 now? Its really tempting.....
*
originally around RM6.2k i think... then saw some offers at KLIAV for 5.8k. Got mine for 5.5k which i thought was a good deal but htkaki got the best deal ever.. around 4k only. really REALLY worth considering... cheers.

Is 875 the only AV receiver that uses HQV Reon chip?
*
I think the onkyo 905 has this processor too. Don't know about the other brands though tongue.gif

Is the issues with over heating in onkyo amp (especially the hi end avr) around the net is true? I read lots of mix report regarding this.
