The center channel is a bit lacking in terms of vocal reproduction. Very impressed with surround dispersion and the low thumping Velo SPL. moviebuff, some BDs are not encoded with Dolby TrueHD. Which Sharp model that you are using? The BDHP-20A?  . |

Htkaki. there are two option for me to choose in the audio setup. You either go auto or pcm(surround). I go auto. Tested 300 bluray. Same thing. Dolby Digital only. The front panel on the player stated it support Dolby truhd. Can you check for me your Ext Surr in the sound menu of the RX-V1800, Is it auto or some other thing? By the way, I heard the sammy player that you are having can play region one std dvd. Don't know if there is any truth in it.
