has anyone heard anything about laptop promotions? looking to buy a new laptop during the pc fair! =) probably hp or dell...

so basically from what i've read, dell if buy there oso, you won't get it immediately, only a few days later only you'll receive the laptop... right? asus stuff seems like a lot of freebies but is the laptop worth it? hp i know have always been a good brand, but the price is still kinda expensive... wondering if the laptops are much cheaper there... anyone can offer some info?

wt laptops (hp) are having price slash and wt specs? just general specs like processor, ram and hdd to begin with....

besides is asus worth getting? meaning is it good quality, good customer service, etc?

i'm really looking at dell/hp lo, since its been like ages since i changed my laptop (my laptop still uses ddr1 k, and it came with 40gb hdd, quite big deal at the time), so you should imagine how old is my laptop... =P

so yea, i kinda want a laptop to game every now and then, dota and cs mostly, then... er, watch movies and series lo, no programming, but use photoshop every now and then also, probably most of the time normal usage (uni student ma)...

and i'm going overseas, so will extend warranty to include international support... so whatever brand i choose should have good international warranty... what do you think should be the specs im looking for? i know roughly what i want, but i sometimes overestimate what I need... btw, planning to use the laptop for at least 3 years lo. budget around 4-5k...

what freebies can I bug the salespeople for anyways?

dell offer got wat wor, checked their website also, nothing much, all the inspiron mostly. I want promo for the xps 1530!!!! but now i see the asus, tempted also!! good deals there i see...

Cash and carry? aren't you not from KL? even if someone buys for you, they will still need to post it to you, right? correct me if im wrong... =)
