copied from bursa website。。
In general, a CDS account can only be opened if the persons are opening it either as a beneficial owner or as an Authorised Nominee.

so i would like to ask。。the account open as beneficial owner means direct account? the account open as Authorised Nominee means nominee account?

these are copied from public investment bank。。
2.1 Am I required to open a CDS account to facilitate Public Invest eTrade trading?

Yes, upon approval of your application, we will open a CDS account under your name as the beneficial owner. You must sign on the CDS Application for Opening of Individual/Corporate Account Form

so these means i can open direct account from public investment bank??

Hi, another newbie question again...

I thought each person can hv only 1 CDS account under his/her name??
and i thought if we open cds account thought a broker, like osk, ecm libra, aa anthony, aseambanker, public invest bank, then it will be a direct cds account?
but y we are allowed to open cds account with different brokers since this will make us hv more than 1 CDS account under our name??

Yes, 1 account under one securities firm or investment bank only.

You can have multiple CDS with different brokers, like 1 at OSK, 1 at Anthony, 1 at HwangDBS. But remember those multiple account are not cross linked one even all are yours. Just like you have ABC shares at OSK CDS, you can't sell through HwangDBS, it will be deemed as short selling at HwangDBS side.

Those open with stock brokers one are not nominee. Those nominee one generally open through ordinary banks one.

is it consider i hv paid for the shares?

will it automatically settle the contract/shares?

do i still need to transfer $$ to the trust account to pay for the shares?

if u are over 18 or 21 years old...then u can find a bank/securities that accept ur age to open a nominees/direct cds account...then u can start trading...

Currently i have both Direct and Nominee account open at CIMB.
What is the difference between two? If i wish to buy genting share not, its better to put in Direct or Nominee CDS?
How about the brokees fees , stamping etc? Are they both the same?

You don't need payslip, bank statement to open a CDS account.

But broker may need those document to open a trading account, as trading account give credit term.
