 Brake pad position relative to brake disc, got parts that doesnt contact?

That is still too big a gap. Looks like you got the wrong pads. Some setups do leave a very thin edge on the disc that is outside the edge of the pads. Mine leaves a very thin edge too but that is normal with most cars. That edge is usually about 2-3mm but not 1 inch like yours. Definitely wrong size pads.
