QUOTE(ooiwbng @ Sep 19 2012, 05:54 PM) got my player. but the music/video player app crashes every SINGLE time i try to play any song/video. Yeah I'm facing the exact same problem here. The walkman button is functioning, but it doesn't detect any songs at all, which links to the previous problem.somebody help? also, the settings in the music app are greyed out except the "Keep Screen On" option this makes the options unusable bad experience when i take the leap back into the android ecosystem. The "Original apps" app is not functioning as intended either. On the plus side, other things seems to be working just fine so far. Audio quality is superb, screen is responsive, the Riptide demo game works incredibly well. Hopefully he'll find a solution to these problems. |

QUOTE(ooiwbng @ Sep 19 2012, 10:34 PM) woah..you're having the same problem too. Yeah...I straightaway jumped to the walkman apps for that simple reason lol. Google Play Music is nothing compared to a true Walkman app. Just be patient, I'm sure there's a workaround on this.serious major turn off to me right now as i want the audio quality. everything is working well and fine except for the original apps. dont mind i kepo a little, which colour you took xD Hahah, mine's blue |

Hmm yeah...hopefully there will be both screen protector & a good casing for this. Played too much with other stuffs my battery is flat now lol. i wonder is there any screen protector around and some case out there. not sure whether it's gorilla or not but the plastic is getting annoying xD |

Okay it's been a week, feedback time!
On fx2800:- I would say that he's a really good dealer. On Walkman F800Series (32GB):- I must confess I really love this blue baby of mine. It's really an eye catcher, so much so many people thought it's a Walkman phone lol. On the hardware side, it's such a well built device. The design is much more simplistic when compared to the Walkman Z Series. It's not as bulky as the Walkman Z since it's pretty slim, sporting a smaller 3.5'' screen. The screen is very usable outdoors, even at 50% brightness. The player is sturdy enough & feels very comfortable to hold in hand. The hardware buttons have a nice tactile feedback. My only gripe with on the hardware would be the power button located on top of the device. It's pretty shallow hence it's quite troublesome to press on it. Sometimes I opted to use the Walkman button as a substitute since it's so much easier to reach. On the software side, you pretty much get the standard Android 4.0.4 ICS build, with tons of Sony preinstalled apps. It's a pity the media players (music player & video player) is bugged (for my case, not too sure bout the rest of the buyers), but the dealer is working on it. It's not so much of a deal breaker for me as there are plenty of alternatives around for music player. (PowerAMP, Winamp, Songbird, doubletwist, n7player etc.) There's also capable video players around, namely the MX Player. On the performance side, I must say that I'm no audiophile. However, I can tell you for sure that you can never get this kind of sound quality from the rest of the competition. Comparing this Walkman to an iPod is like a sin lol. After doing plenty of tests, I can safely conclude that the built-in S-Master MX Digital Amplifier is really, really good. Even standard earphones sounds better when plugged into this baby. The noise-cancelling earphones bundled together with this Walkman is really great compared to other bundled earphones. For those who are wondering if this Walkman supports A2DP (Bluetooth enabled earphones/headset), yes it does! Clearly, this PMP is a class of its own, makes you stop listening to music on your smartphones lol. For games & stuff, bear in mind that it has Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset with 512MB of RAM, so don't expect to have stellar gaming performance on this. Resource hog games such as Shadowgun and Blood & Glory suffer from stuttering on this player, but games like Heroes Call THD works pretty well with minimal lag. However I didn't buy this as a gaming device, so not too much of a big deal. On the connectivity side, it has WiFi & Bluetooth. However, the WiFi receiver isn't that good on this PMP. Sometimes I don't get full bars when I'm only 6-7m away from the WiFi router. The Bluetooth connectivity however is pretty much standard, based on my usage. On the battery life, as for music playback it's pretty good. I've gotten around 18 hours of playback on medium quality MP3s (192kbps), but even lower with higher bitrates and not to mention FLACs (yep, it does support FLACs people). For moderate usage with WiFi turned on & music playback, you can expect the battery to last you for almost a day before having to charge. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase. I would highly recommend this over an iPod Touch anyday for its superior audio quality alone. Last but not least, I would highly recommend this seller too. He's such an honest person and a responsible one at that. Sorry for such a lengthy post. |

Hmmm...have you tried resetting the device? There's a tiny button at the back. Try to use a mech pencil to press it. Hope that helps.
